Short version: Eat here at your own risk.
I went here a few nights ago for one of my relatives’ birthday dinner, we had about 20 ppl so we had a room to ourselves with 2 large tables. At first, the food was what you would normally expect from a dim sum restaurant. But it wasn’t until during our last course, we all noticed a giant rat climbing down from the ceiling in the corner of our room, which eliminated any remaining appetite.
More shockingly was when we called the manager over to inform him of what we just saw, not only did he not apologize for our experience, he replied in a very casual manner saying that all the restaurants in this building all have the same problem and its been like this for the past 10 years, as if he just wanted us to accept it like it is what it is. It was my elder relatives’ birthday so i didn’t make a big fuss out of it at the time, but as a chef myself who respects the food industry, i find this attitude completely irresponsible and unacceptable. So this is my review of my most recent experience, i absolutely cannot and will not recommend others to go after what I’ve experience, and i feel like i have to come on here and say something.
Don’t get me wrong. I understand that most if not all restaurants have to deal with pest and bug problems to an extent, but its a different story when i have to witness it while I’m eating. And another whole level especially if the staff don’t even see a problem in this.

The restaurant is a large traditional Cantonese style seafood restaurant. It gets quite busy at night so highly recommended to book in advance either by calling their landline.
Most of the staff were slightly older, and the service wasn't fantastic as it took us a while to hail down one of the waiters to take our order even though it wasn't busy when we arrived. Very typical hospitality attitude for traditional chinese restaurants in Hong Kong so be warned.
We ordered their roast duck, grilled prawns, clams, boiled vegetables with salty egg and fermented egg and shrimp-stuffed beancurd roll. The food was a bit oily, but this is to be expected from this style of Chinese food. The crunchy beancurd roll was my favourite, and the duck serving was generous and meaty. All the dishes went very well with steamed white rice.
We definitely over-ordered and ended up paying around HK$712, which was reasonable for three people. Whilst we weren't mind-blown by any of the dishes, but the roast duck and shrimp-stuffed beancurd roll...
Read moreTerrible place with lousy food and service! The fillet beef was overcooked and tough. The baked oysters were so salty that they became inedible. Another disappointing dish was the roasted goose. The roasted goose was mostly bones with very little meat. It felt more like a carcass than a well-cooked dish, which was frustrating considering the price. Perhaps the most offensive part of the experience was the service. The lady who served us was not only inattentive, but also very rude. She barely greeted us when we placed our order, and when we asked a simple question about the menu, her answer was rude and dismissive. When she left, she even said some...
