Update 2019-01 (5*): It feels like they're reading my reviews and then work on implementing my suggestions :D Now everyone at the reception and in the hallway speaks very good English. And at least during the Winter they don't leave the AC at minimum anymore. Actually I am running out of suggestions. The Hotel is now pretty much perfect.

Update 2018-01 (5*): Over the past 18 months a lot has changed, turning the Grand Lapa to a 5 star hotel for me, too. They've renovated the rooms and public areas (Lobby, hallway etc) with much brighter and therefore more friendly colors. They've equipped every room with indirect lighting, a big TV (approximately 45"), some well thought out electrics (power plugs where no adapter is needed for most plugs, master light switch on either side of the bed) and a great bathroom, now equipped with a standing shower (with invisible drain - nice gimmick). It's still not what I would consider a very modern hotel for the digital generation but it looks good again. And they don't mix the juices at breakfast anymore so you do get a pure orange juice now. Breakfast is still great. Slightly more food available than last year. The spa area is still beyond every doubt. A small oasis in the middle of Macao.

2016-08 (4*): Hotel is in general quite well equipped. Staff is mostly helpful and friendly but even at the counter good english speaking personnel is rare. I stayed for over 7 weeks (business trip) so I got quite a good impression on the hotel and its staff. The rooms are tidy and well equipped (5 Stars!), but obviously very old. The TV is not a modern LCD but still an old CRT type TV set (though with a flat screen). The walls are covered with a very dark brown-redish wood which was considered luxurious like 20 years ago I guess. AC is working well, but some of the staff tend to set it to the minimum temperature which means after an 12h day I came back to a freezing room. The SPA area is just great. Awesome massages, a well equipped gym and an outside swimming pool with a pool attendant, some sun loungers, an artificial waterfall and even a water slide. Breakfast tends to get very busy at around 9 which means that you sometimes have to wait 5-10 minutes to get a table. Buffet style breakfast is well equipped but repetitive. For some reason they always mix the fruit juices so the labels are never correct. That would be especially bad for someone with allergies to certain fruits. To me it was "just" annoying because they have a very sour grape fruit juice that has a very strong taste. Because of the mixing basically every juice just tastes like grapefruit. They've been doing this 75% of the days so it was not coincidential. One of the easiest places all over Macao to get a Taxi. They have a Taxi lamp outside and someone getting empty taxies in whenever you need one. Even if you don't stay here they will get you a Taxi in a reasonable amount of time (which is not natural for Macao). KFC and Mc Donald's are relatively close as well as several good local restaurants and supermarkets so no issues here. I would just wish for them to renovate the rooms and make them more modern. A flat screen and some brighter colors would turn this into a 5 Star hotel...

My stay at the Artyzen Grand Lapa in Macau was an experience that truly stood out among other 5-star accommodations. From the moment I stepped in, the hotel’s exceptional service and facilities made me feel like I was genuinely in the lap of luxury. The staff’s friendliness and eagerness to assist went above and beyond, ensuring all my needs were met with a smile.

One of the highlights was the concierge service, which proved indispensable in making our stay comfortable and hassle-free. They were instrumental in guiding us through the city, from finding attractions to arranging transportation, showcasing their commitment to guest satisfaction.

The breakfast at Artyzen Grand Lapa is not to be missed. Offering an extensive buffet that caters to both Chinese and continental tastes, it ensures a delightful start to the day. Whether you’re in the mood for dim sum or a classic Western breakfast, you’ll find the quality and variety exceptional.

The rooms are a haven of comfort and luxury, boasting ample space and the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. The hotel’s attention to detail is evident in the provision of multiple pillow weights, catering to guests’ preferences and ensuring a restful sleep. The amenities provided, including water, Nespresso coffee, tea, and champagne, add a touch of sophistication and convenience to the stay.

Located adjacent to the Sands, the hotel’s position allows guests to take advantage of the Sands’ free shuttle bus service for easy exploration of Macao. Alternatively, the concierge can arrange taxi services for those looking for a more direct route to their destination.

The Artyzen Grand Lapa doesn’t just excel in comfort and service; it also offers a range of facilities that promise relaxation and rejuvenation. The spa, gym, and outdoor pool are exceptional, with the pool area being a particularly magnificent spot to unwind and soak in the beauty of Macau.

In conclusion, the Artyzen Grand Lapa in Macau is a 5-star hotel that truly lives up to its rating, providing an unforgettable experience through its superior service, luxurious accommodations, and excellent facilities. Whether you’re visiting for leisure or business, this hotel promises a stay that’s nothing short of...

Love this hotel so so much! I definitely highly recommend this hotel in Macau! "Attention to details" is always what I looking for, as a person working in the hospitality industry for years. Through every small thing, you can tell so much effort that this hotel’s whole team put into it. I was attending an event last weekend with my workmates. We had a very tight schedule, we don't need too much entertainment in the hotel, I was looking for an accommodation that we could work and relax at the same time, so I booked Aytyzen Grand Lapa. There's no disappointment found.

The front desk staff warmly greeted us and introduced the hotel facilities in details, very gentle tone to reminds me should enjoy the moment in this gorgeous place.

The room is beautiful, clean and neat. The washroom amenities are well chosen, the aroma is pleasant and the texture is pleasant high quality which really enhance the whole experience of the room.

The location is good too, the neighbourhood is quiet and safe. Walking distance 12 mins to reach the attraction Guan Yin Statue Macau. Enjoy having an easy walk after dinner from hotel.

Next day, we called housekeeper in the morning to refill the coffee mate, the housekeeping lady approached with smile and asked if we need anything else.

I had a very good sleep with comfy environment, bed is good, temperature is perfect, lighting is just right.

Enjoyed watching the street with my coffee, nice view from the room.

The other thing I was looking forward is the swimming pool! It looks beautiful in the photos, and it truly is!My colleague could swim in the morning then got refresh, this is like a bonus in a business trip.

Visited the cake shop after we checked out, the cakes looks amazing, and I really like they have Macau themed pastry - Bolo Fios de Ovos. We enjoyed the stating and definitely will come...

I recently stayed at this hotel and while there were some elements that made the experience pleasant, overall it felt more like a 3-star property than the 5-star standard it claims. To start with the positives, the price was excellent. For the size of the room, especially without having to check into one of those massive casino-style hotels, it was a great fit for a couple. The room itself was quiet, even though it was part of an adjoining setup—I didn’t hear any noise from neighboring guests, which was a nice surprise. However, there were several aspects that detracted from the experience. The check-in process was extremely slow. It took nearly an hour before I got to my room, which is not something I’ve ever experienced at a supposed 5-star hotel. There were six computer desks available, but only three front office agents handling check-ins. Meanwhile, three concierge staff were present but not assisting—perhaps they could be trained to support during peak hours. The room carpet was stained and clearly in need of a deep clean. It was one of the first things I noticed and it left a poor impression. In the morning, I was also disappointed to find the minibar tea selection lacking—no breakfast tea and one tea bag missing, which made it feel like the room hadn’t been properly restocked before our arrival. Another issue was the housekeeping staff, who began loudly chatting and shouting to each other in the hallways around 10:30am. It was disruptive and again, not what I’d expect from a hotel that markets itself as high-end. Overall, it’s fine for a one-night stay if you’re looking for something affordable and quiet. But for anything longer or more luxurious, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

During our recent holiday in Macao, we stayed at the Artyzen Grand Lapa Resort. The resort is perfect place, if you have young children accompanying you. Our grandkids used to spend most of day either playing in the kids’ area (Artyzen gives 2 hours play time complimentary each day) or the swimming pool, where they have a beautiful slide, which is a big hit with the kids. The layout of the Hotel is beautiful. The area between the building with rooms and the pool is lined with trees and even during mid-day it is definitely a degree cooler. The food spread at Cafe Bela Vista (CBV) or Naam, Thai restaurant is quite impressive and delicious. The breakfast spread was also huge and all the things they served were delicious. The Artyzen staff are very helpful and make sure that all your needs are met, with a smile. I would personally like to thank, Mr Jowel (Naam) and Ms Berna (Housekeeping), who went out of their way to help us. Yesterday around checkout time, we got late for lunch, but the staff at CBV made sure that we got whatever we ordered for lunch. Other small things which show that Artyzen cares for their guests are a USB cable with multi heads for charging your phones, tablets etc in the bedroom, a small stool in the bathroom to help kids reach the basin and drinking water infused with lemon, which they serve in the restaurants. Thank you Team Artyzen for a wonderful holiday. Definitely recommended.

Where do I start?!? The staff was so incredibly nice here. We felt welcome during our entire stay. We booked through Agoda so we weren’t sure if we’d be able to check in earlier than 15:00, but when we got to the hotel around 12 our room was ready! It was nice because the weather wasn’t the best during our stay. There were many conveniences in the hotel like shops, restaurants, an atm, and the resort portion looked beautiful. We didn’t really get to utilize most of these but it was great to know they were there. Our room was GORGEOUS!! I’ll include photos. We really wanted something simple and didn’t want to be near a super busy area. Due to this resort not having a casino, we didn’t have to deal with seeing so many people around the lobby area. Something to note is that the Sands Hotel is right next door and anyone is able to utilize their shuttle service! You can get to places like the airport, ferry, the Londoner, the Parisian, the Venetian, and more using shuttles from any of the large resorts! I would highly recommend the Artyzen if you’re visiting Macau!
