This hotel is located at Macau’s business district so it’s suitable for people on short stays, business trips and also fine for those on short trip. The bigger pro is really the location and easy access to transportation, commute to city center or to ferry terminal is super easy and can be done on foot even. The biggest con I found was the staff at reception desk, really not friendly at all. When I arrived I tried to check in but it was a bit too early (few minutes) and I was not allowed to do so until was really the right checkin time. By this time guests were piling up in the lobby which only has a few seats available to wait for check in. Suddenly and before the time they started to do check in and didn’t bother with those waiting for long minutes. In result I was some good 15 min waiting in line. Because only 1 person doing the checking while other was pretending to be busy with papers (not doing anything with them just not to help).Seems like their big improvement need to be regarding staff. The room is acceptable in space but has no view to anywhere (not so important). It has several usb plugs to allow charging of mobiles and other devices but doesn’t offer even some instant coffee or something like that.I recall that we are talking about a room that has a rate of around 1,000 dollars of Hong Kong per night so it’s not a cheap place (in price) but the staff make it cheap in service. For this price range there are a lot of other places in town that are better in service. Probably won’t return here anymore.Additionally the coffeeshop on lobby floor has been closed and deactivated so the offer on F&B is also very limited.Zero additional amenities or services such as gym, pool or any...
Read moreComfort and Convenience at Royal Dragon Hotel (3-Star)||The Royal Dragon Hotel is one of three properties owned by the same group, each named with the Chinese word for "dragon." According to a local friend, this is the newest of the trio—and it shows in the modern design and updated amenities throughout the property.||A bit of local history adds character to the experience: according to Wikipedia, the owners previously operated satellite casinos but gave up their license several years ago. Notably, the hotel’s elevators skip the lower two floors, which may have once housed the casino.||I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade from a standard room to a spacious suite featuring a separate bedroom, a comfortable living room, and two well-appointed washrooms. The amenities were of good quality and contributed to a very comfortable stay.||Another convenient perk: the hotel is just a short three-minute walk from the nearby Holiday Inn Express, where a buffet breakfast is available for around MOP88. If you're looking for variety, the surrounding area offers numerous breakfast spots to suit different tastes and budgets. There is also a seafood restaurant just next to the hotel.||All in all, the Royal Dragon Hotel is a well-located, comfortable choice —suitable for both business and leisure travelers who will enjoy quietness...
Read moreI took my parents and my sister for a vacation in Macau and I booked our stay here at Royal Dragon Hotel. They are located in the main city so it will take you about 30 minutes to get there from the airport. Upon arrival, we were greeted right away with staff that were all very nice. Many Filipinos work here, too so that adds to the value of staying here.
Our rooms were spacious, looking luxurious and there’s bathtub, too. At first I thought I it was expensive (tbh it was not budget friendly lol) I can say it was reasonable. Bus stops are just a few meters away and they also offer free shuttle buses that operate at 11AM onwards everyday.
One thing to note though, they would ask for a security deposit of 1000MOP but they will refund it after you checked out. You can pay either cash or credit card.
Overall, we loved our stay here and I would highly recommend you booking your stay...
