Best Western Plus 93 Park Hotel — Hotel in Bogota, Capital District

This hotel has a lot going for it. The location is perfect. Just a couple blocks from Parque 93. If you have never been to Bogota, this is the area you want to be in. It is beyond safe. I would guess there are never fewer than 15 police officers patrolling the park and adjacent areas. They are not aggressive in any way, but you definitely feel safe. The hotel staff are the best! They are very friendly, professional, and always there to make your stay better. The hotel is clean and the beds are of a high quality and firm. Cleanliness and a good bed are probably the two most important criteria for me. It does seem to cater to more of a business conference type crowd. I did not see many families or tourists. The style or vibe of the hotel is a bit generic. Unfortunately, the rooftop lounge was closed during our stay, but from the pictures, that's the one spot that looks to be warm and inviting. The whole place could probably use a Colombian designer to give it a bit of warmth, flair, and cultural relevance. It looks like it was designed by some corporate "designer" sitting in an office in Kansas. No insult to Kansas intended. This was my second stay at this BW hotel — 9 days this time, after a 15-day stay two years ago. Overall, I’ve had a positive experience. The staff are friendly and helpful, although communication can be a bit challenging due to limited English proficiency.

Breakfast is consistently very good, with a nice variety and fresh options. I also ordered room service dinner three times. The first two meals were tasty, but unfortunately, my last dinner was disappointing. The chicken soup, which I had previously enjoyed, was completely different — overly thick, lacking flavor, and dominated by parsley. The salmon was also overcooked. I shared my concerns with the waitress, but no follow-up or apology was given. It seemed like their main concern was settling the bill, which left a poor final impression.

Because of this, I’m adjusting my rating from 5 stars to 4. Still a good stay overall, but I hope they work on consistency and customer care...

We stayed 2 nights at the Best Western, as we had to leave our other hotel. Check in at 2pm was a breeze and we were able to get a room right away. Hotel staff were nice, friendly, and super helpful. In particular, the bell services staff were SUPER helpful and gave us a lot of good information.

The hotel is VERY centrally located. It was just 2 blocks from Parque 93 and all the shops and restaurants. It was definitely much more centrally located than our previous hotel, and we enjoyed walking over to the shops during our stay.

The beds are a bit stiff, so if you're a soft bed kind of person, you might be out of luck. Pillows were great. I did not like the rainfall shower head, but for 2 nights I could make due. Room was HUGE, which was great.
