Hotel Maceo chico — Hotel in Bogota, Capital District

I stayed at Hotel Maceo Chico twice during a recent trip to Colombia. My first stay was for three nights and probably had the best and most restful sleep I have enjoyed in a hotel in years! Really nice and comfortable beds. Loved it! The hotel staff provided me with clear and easy directions to walk the area and find some excellent restaurants that were reasonably priced for me. One night I also asked the front desk clerk to order food for me for delivery (my Spanish does not work well on the telephone) and I ended up with a delicious meal served fresh and hot. Sanitizer, temperature checks, and shoe and baggage disinfection all in place here and done as soon as you arrive. Breakfast is included each morning beginning at 8 a.m. -- delicious and generous with the portions. Also, the front desk staff is excellent about getting a taxi for the airport and they fix a great cup of coffee to enjoy while waiting for your ride. I have this hotel in my WhatsApp and when I had to travel through Bogota on my way from Leticia to Santa Marta a couple weeks later, I contacted them and my room was waiting when I arrived that afternoon and my second visit to this wonderful hotel was just as good as the first. The service is great in this hotel! The room was not bad but missing shampoo and conditioner. The thing that was upsetting it’s the noise in the middle of night we can hear the reception phone ringing and the people talking loudly down the hall. As for the breakfast is eggs/sausage and bread, and on the free service you will have one kind of fruit-daily and milk/yogurt with cereals! Stylish hotel, in a safe area, very clean with the best hot shower in South America. The owner and her staff always serve you with a smile ☺. We paid for a small room and the next night the owner offered us a bigger room at no extra cost. While we were there we got soaking wet it just tipped down.
