Hotel Chicó 97 — Hotel in Bogota, Capital District

This is one of the best hotels that I used in my recent trip to Colombia. The online booking was super easy despite the very short notice…just one day before the check in. I was allowed to check in two hours before due time of 3 pm. The reception area is super comfy and prestigious with a fireplace. There are free coffee in the morning and free juice in the afternoon in front of reception. The free buffet breakfast is super yummy with many options including section for vegetarian. You can order your own omelette. The room was spacious and prestigious furniture. Comfy beds and pillows. Amazing lights including reading lights near each side of the bed. Mini fridge and bar. Although. I did not know how to turn fridge on. Coffee machine for one-time coffee … cannot make tea or more coffee. Room has air conditioner, safe and blanket (it gets cold at night). The washroom and shower area are super awesome … with hot water coming quickly. The hotel is in a safe and vibrant area of Bogota. There is a D1 6-7 minutes walking away…in case you want to buy water, juices and snacks. The famous Park 93 is just 8-10 minutes walking to the south… and it has many coffee shops and restaurants...

The staff at this location was attentive and exceptional in the services provided. I was impressed upon arrival by the welcome reception. I was accommodated in a very comfortable room. I have visited over 48 countries around the world and stayed in many luxurious hotel. But what really surprised me pleasantly were the comfort of the bed and the spaciousness and modern fixtures of the shower. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in while traveling. The location is in safe, quiet and upscaled neighborhood. But yet still within walking distance to some of the best local eateries and bars. On the down side, the hotel's bar was not really operational...

Wenn man gute Lokale und das Nachtleben in Bogotá genießen möchte dann gibt es wohl keine bessere Gegend... In unmittelbarer Nähe befinden sich eine Vielzahl von Bars, Restaurants und Cafés etc.||||Zum Hotel selbst...||Zur Entlastung des Hotels muss ich sagen dass das Hotel zu dem Zeitpunkt so gut wie ausgebucht war. Dennoch gibt es so ein paar Punkte die eigentlich in einem Hotel in dieser Kategorie nicht passieren sollten.||||Hier nur so die gröbsten Dinge:||Auf meinen Koffer habe ich nach dem Einchecken geschlagene 45 Minuten gewartet. Wenn ich das gewusst hätte, dann hätte ich meinen Koffer gleich selbst mitgenommen. Nach 2 Anrufen und 45 Min. Wartezeit war der Koffer dann auch endlich da!||Das Wasser der Dusche lief sehr unregelmäßig und wechselnd in der Temperatur.||Dazu hat der Abfluß des Waschbeckens immer wieder Geräusche gemacht - besonders nachts etwas störend!||Ansonsten war das Zimmer extrem dunkel... bzw. wie leider in vielen Hotelzimmern - einfach zu wenig Lampen bzw. Licht vorhanden!||Eine Wasserflasche pro Tag ist heute in den meisten Hotels dieser Kategorie schon Standard.||Naja, früher hat man es nicht anders gekannt...||||Der Service bzw. das Personal beim Frühstücksbuffet war bei dieser Belegung hoffnungslos überfordert. - Da kann der Service einfach nicht nachkommen, wenn das Hotel an Personal spart - Nettes Personal nur einfach viel zu wenig Personal!||So gab es jeden Tag eine andere Kaffeestärke... ging von Hagebuttentee bis Espresso!||Jeden Tag eine Überraschung!||||Das Internet hat morgens zw. 05:00 bis ca. 06:00 Uhr und abends nach Mitternacht einwandfrei funktioniert, aber durch die Auslastung des Hotels, kam das Internet einfach nicht mehr mit... zu normalen Zeiten war ein Arbeiten mit dem Internet unmöglich!||Ist aber wahrscheinlich bei normaler Belegung sicher OK!||||Genug gejammert - Sonst ein sehr schönes Hotel und geniale Lage!||||||Kleiner Nachtrag - Die Zimmerverriegelung war leider kaputt in meinem Zimmer,...
