Brot Apice 97 — Restaurant in Bogota, Capital District

I've been here a number of times beginning in October. I love this place. Probably my favorite cafe in Bogotá so far. I have ordered the vegetarian sandwich a number of times. It's a great veggie option. Although it has a lot of cheese on it, it is fresh mozzarella with fresh basil and tomato. And the bread at Brot can't be beat. The chocolate baguette is delicious and all the sandwiches I have ordered come on delicious fresh bread. My partner maintains that the roast beef sandwich is the best he has ever eaten. We had a chocolate-raspberry tort for dessert once, and it was the best dessert I have eaten in years. The chocolate was incredible. The staff have always been friendly and kind, despite that I sometimes struggle to express myself in Spanish. Plenty of covered outdoor seating and about 6 tables inside. If staying in Parque 93, this European-style cafe is well worth a visit. I stopped in while staying at the Doubleteree just a block away. Come here for breakfast rather than eating the lackluster fare at the hotel.

Amazing breakfast with nice seating outside. The croissant prosciutto huevo is incredible and a really good breakfast. My weakness is the almond croissant and a coffee.
