Hotel Ruta 40. Villa de Leyva — Hotel in Boyacá

Good location, friendly owner and personnel. A little bit of a strange atmosphere, noisy (but I guess that's Colombia) and expensive bike rental.

The breakfast was, and I'm sorry to say this, bad.

Tips to improve this: serve more than only one egg: serve it with vegetables (E.g. tomato, avocado...), fruits (without gelatine please!), fresh bread (not the stale sandwiches) and spreads (eg nice cheese, fresh jam, sausage, salami, salty butter...). Try to switch the breakfast up a bit each day (different juices, fresh pancakes, bacon, omelette...).

It really doesn't have to be very expensive or work intensive: I think some internet searches will help for inspiration.

In general: good and with some (I think easy) changes it can become a great hotel/hostel. The location, homey feeling and friendliness of the owner and personnel are there and...

Mi experiencia en el Hotel Ruta 40 fue simplemente maravillosa. Desde el momento en que llegué, el personal me recibió con una calidez y amabilidad que hicieron que me sintiera como en casa.

Las habitaciones son amplias, cómodas y están impecablemente limpias, perfectas para descansar después de un día explorando la hermosa Villa de Leyva. La cama era muy cómoda, y los detalles de la decoración reflejan el encanto colonial de la zona.

El hotel cuenta con una ubicación privilegiada, cerca de los principales atractivos turísticos pero lo suficientemente tranquilo para disfrutar de la serenidad del lugar. Además, el desayuno ofrecido es delicioso, con ingredientes frescos y sabores típicos de la región.

Sin duda, el Hotel Ruta 40 es una excelente opción para quienes buscan comodidad, buena atención y un ambiente acogedor. ¡Espero...
