CASA LOPEZ — Hotel in Cartagena

I have stayed here for a night attracted by the cheap prices , only to have lived 😭 a nightmare ! The staff , I am not sure of their origin , would treat you as if they are offering accommodation on their dime ,,,,.. The young lady at the front desk was talking to me while she was still on her cellular phone discussing her personal manners ,with no regards to us in line .

So you get assigned a room and a towel and a soap and that's the most you get for your money , the room is as small as a trucker's dorm bunker 😂, which may be fine if the front desk service and attitude may compensate for being better !

Staying on the first floor is like staying in the middle of a souk ( an Arabic market ) as the windows are made of wood and not glass to filter the romantic relations tasks fro.tje cel phone of the young ladies at the front desk , so much that you are out by force to listen to other ppls person matters .

I would have paid more to stay someplace...

Service is horrible. I would consider this a 2 star or a 1 star hotel. I have stayed in 3,4,5 star hotels, and this is definitely not a 3 star hotel. The only benefit is the location is great.

1. the front desk receptionist messaged me at 12 am because he forgot to collect another deposit. He woke us up, and then came back to the room after 30 minutes to give change. I believe this could have been discussed at an appropriate time in the morning, considering receptionist forgot their job.

2. the room as not clean properly. There were used soaps in the shower and someone’s eyelash extensions on the bed.

3. we used a towel to clean off some dirt from the beach, they said there will be a 50 000 cop charge for that. Keep in mind, that these towels can be easily washed...

Room 101 was not a pleasant experience. It was too small and had a strange odor, possibly due to mold. The shower also presented issues as the floor drain was clogged, causing water to pool, and I had to clean the small holes myself to ensure proper water flow. Moreover, the room's sound insulation was poor, as I could hear everything happening outside, which made it difficult for me to sleep one night when a group of people were talking on the rooftop.
