When you look at the reviews for that hotel it is excellent but reality there are few reviews that highlights the stay and at first I did not believe them but unfortunately they are true . Well the one star is for hospitality but the hotel honestly not bad however when we came in in April my GF when she booked the hotel forgot to add me to reservation . At the front desk there was receptionist named Erica she was horrible to deal with has a lot of attitude she basically refused to help us . I asked for the manager she said with a big smile she is at lunch . She was very rude. We were very tired and we made honest mistake and we were willing to pay but she refused to help. We went for lunch luckily the manager caught wind of it and fixed for us but honestly that was after we got frustrated. The experience overall is average even below . We did not have a fridge in the room for day they put us a corner room despite advertising room with better views . Well the manager did offer us pitty rides to places we basically refused because we have plans and we paid for hospitality and stay not 2 $ Ubers lol. The computation is high in that area highly recommend other places . I attached some pics as a proof of terrible room setting . One is view from our room and the other is not fridge present !!!! The manage did not even believe that there was not a fridge . The manager was very nice and polite but honestly you require a whole staff to deliver a service not a single good person. This hotel is expensive compared to other but what it delivers is again...
Read moreTo start off the front desk women Erica with the curly hair was the very rude she was very disrespectful with the way she went about answering my wife about the visitation policy my wife had family members come over to pick up gifts. She asked if the could come up to the room cause their was alot of people that was down in the lobby and she told my no cause that was their policy and i looked at your policy and the only thing thats states is that if you had people over night that their would be a charge not that they couldn’t come up and get their gifts. She was extremely rude. Made my wife's family feel very uncomfortable cause we had to give their gifts in front of everyone. The second thing was that if you buy food from the outside don't expect to be able to use a table from their kitchen or outside area cause since you didn't buy from them then you were just able to use general area so don’t expect to eat down stairs just in your room and it funny cause we only got this type of attitude was from Erica. Myself and wife have stayed in several hotels in Medellin and never I countered this type of problem were family couldn’t come up to the room to get the things we had bought for them. The Guards we excellent very attentive and the girls that cleaned the rooms and serval of the kitchen staff was helpful as well their was one waiters that was also had a bit of an attitude. But other than that the place was ok. I wouldn’t stay again due to how the...
Read moreI will admit mistakes were made and after looking at MANY air bnb pictures and properties things got a little mixed up. Hotel Poblado Alejandria is NOT an apartment. The Jacuzzi is NOT private. But for some reason "jacuzzi" and "Hotel room" are in the same sentence in the title. VERY confusing if you are not careful. This hotel is wedged in between ACTUAL air bnb apartments.
When I asked for a refund I was completely denied while being told, "you knew exactly this", "you already knew that", "bla bla bla".... Either way... for a 10 day stay a refund was not something that is impossible or simply not plausible. Many other hotels have done this for me and friends in the past. But I guess it was easier to deny a refund since this person I was talking to didn't even work at the hotel and was never going be seen face to face.
I promptly booked a REAL air bnb from this website. I got a whole 3 bedroom apartment with kitchen, PRIVATE jacuzzi, laundry room for LESS than this hotel room.
Other notes: the breakfast was pretty good and the breakfast staff was nice. Out of the 4 of 10 days I stayed here my key card stopped working 3 times. And it happened to a few other guests there also.
In response to the reply: Isn't it a little too late to get a refund now? Why wasn't this told to me but the person communicating with me through Airbnb.com? This person made it sound like he/she was the foremost authority and would never...
