Orange Suites Medellín — Hotel in Medellín

After being in Medellin a bunch times I will say this was my least favorite place to stay. The building itself looks rundown and old and the view from the duplex room I was in, was pretty terrible since construction is being done right in front of the building. You can’t keep the window blinds open because the workers are there all day and can see directly in. Therefore it’s dark because the blinds must be closed. The AC is also pretty bad, barely cooled anything. Definitely not strong enough for the entire house. I booked it because the host said “Stunning Duplex w/ a great view”. It’s VERY misleading. The view is terrible. I knew that it would be noisy because we are in poblado but noisy music is very different than construction work all day. I would not stay here again...

Stolen clothing - I put my clothes up for laundry where they took an extra day to get me my clothing. They didn’t get it to us until late night before we were departing to our next destination.

They said all of our clothing was in there and I went to ask for them to check for more just in case.

I am missing a swimsuit and two pairs of expensive shorts.

We loved staying here with a very kind staff. But they did not take any accountability in the lost/stolen clothing. The front desk staff is very friendly with great people

Not to mention how loud at night it was so very hard to sleep some nights

2 stars for the character their staff showed in stealing clothing.

Beautiful place, but personnel...

NOT SUITABLE FOR MY DOG! Upon check in and entering my room I say dirt everywhere, hair everywhere, roaches and ants. Stained sheets yellow and black. Told the reception to come look at the filth. He told me to wait in the room while he finds a solution. I waited 45 minutes for him he never came back. So I went downstairs and the girl told me he left and went home for the day! What a garbage bucket hotel. I’ve stayed at over 59 hotels in Medellin and never seen such a filthy poor excuse and mold smell. I rave to everybody about Custer service in Medellin. This was my first bad experience for both. I left, checked out and if I don’t get my card refunded my bank will do it for me when I do...
