Hotel BeachFront Vista Hermosa Jaco — Hotel in Jacó

Me and my friend took a weekend off from the city and decided to do the adventurous thing and just get to Hermosa and walk around looking for a place to stay for one night. A local recommended the hotels in that block and this was the first one we went in.||The price is ok, it would've been fair if it included breakfast (or soap in the bathroom for that matter). No breakfast makes it a bit steep for me. I only wish I had asked before paying.||The room itself is nice, it has 2 single beds and a bunker bed, not a lot of space to hang out if you're traveling with 3 more people, but at least you get a good place to sleep. It has a (very) small kitchenette (microwave oven, coffee maker, fridge) and a tv in its own area.||It is private and dark enough if you want to sleep. Nice and quiet. Right in front of the beach so you only hear the waves breaking all night.||There's an A/C unit and a fan, which is great. They also offer free WiFi (if you sit down at the kitchenette area 5 feet away from the bed, low signal though).||The pool was nice. We didn't try the Restaurant.||Oh, and make sure to bring cash, they don't take cards in the Reception but they do at the Restaurant (what?). Yes, 2012, no cards. First the reservation process was very good, very good comunication from the owner, price was ok to have breakfast included. The day I arrivied there was no water in the region because a storm the last day, but they were able to fix it at the same day ( they have a back up water plant). The next morning the served breakfast right infront of our room and infront of the pool/beach, it was a very nice stay, always steps from the pool, beach, restaurant, everything service was always looking for our needs. The only downside wa the sea, it is kind dangerous if you dont swim very well, but its ideal for surfing because its big waves. I've been traveling for 7 months and so far that was the worst place I stayed.||I stayed there with 2 other friends for one night and that was enough. The rooms are really dark and smelly. The vase in our bathroom was leaking water and the wi-fi doesn't work in the room. We were really keen to surf in the morning so we didn't care much when we decided to stay for the night.||||It's very sad because the hotel has a lot of potential and it is beach front.||||We had a terrible experience during check out with the owner as well he is a really rude old man and after checking reviews from that place it all made sense.There is cheaper and better accommodation next...
