Amazing place! We stayed here multiple times on our six week stay in Costa Rica Feb to March 2022 because we enjoyed it so much. The grounds are beautiful, it a little oasis with gorgeous flowers and plants. Awesome place to bird watch, relax around the pool and escape the hot and bustling core downtown. The rooms are fantastic and clean, air conditioning works well, we used the kitchenette to cook some meals. They also have a typical Costa Rican bbq that you can cook on, you can get delicious steak at the local butcher. I worked remotely during my stay at this hotel and found they have good internet, even for video calls. They have some rooms that can accommodate larger groups which is useful if you are travelling with others.
The location is great nestled on a side street amongst local houses, it's a short 5 minute walk to downtown and a 5 minute walk to the best part of the beach. Head to the beach to watch the most incredible sunsets every night. I felt safe walking alone after dark. A taxi to anywhere in town cost about 1 dollar and are easy to find. It's also close to the bus stop if you want to hop the local bust to go to Quepos, or Manuel Antonio.
The prices are affordable and they are so happy to accomodate you. The family who runs this are very kind and really care about their guests, along with the staff. We were very happy to support their business. I will go back next time in Jaco! You can reserve directly with them through...
Read moreI was glad to have re-booked this place after i had booked a cheaper hostel on the main strip in Jaco. That place was a bit of a nightmare but thats a different story and I guess you pay for what you get and this place even though a little more expensive was like a quiet oasis and escape from the hustle and bustle of the main strip. We used this place as a central location to travel to other spots like Manuel Antonio National Park etc. which is about 1 hour and 45 minutes away. We went in August during the rainy season and the hotel had very few guests. The room was equipped with a full kitchen so we could buy groceries to save on meals which was excellent. The WIFI was sketchy and from the far end of the hotel where we stayed, we had a hard time getting WIFI. We did on one night have a loud rapping on the patio door in the middle of the night which freaked us out by a person who was looking for his buddy in another room and the owner told us that the person was probably a drunk and came to the wrong room which still was a bit disconcerting let alone potential scary! Apart from this incident and faulty loose patio door latch which was quickly fixed by the caretaker when we got there, the place like I said was still worth it as we had this place pretty well all...
Read moreI booked a small kitchnette for our first visit and we were quite pleased.||The street leading to the hotel is a bit sketchy but reasonably well illumintaed even at night.||The hotel has good security and do not keep you long waiting at the gate. There is room for several cars if you are driving.||Our room was spacious, clean, and equipped with full sized fridge, and stove. The A/C worked very well and the bathroom had ample hot water.||The pool was clean and inviting and provided a nice respite after a hot day of travelling.||The rececptionist was quite efficient and even booked us bus tickets the following morning.||The hotel is a about 10 minute walk from downtown but the streets are illuminated. There is an ATM on the way to downtown.||Overall, a pleasant little hotel well away from the noise of...
