The Pura Vida Villa — Hotel in Jacó

Bad communication. Previous review states not a place for relaxation and more a party house that describes this nightmare to a T. 6 towels for 6 bathrooms and 8 guests. Acted like i was insane for needing more. 50 shot glasses 25 champagne flutes. 1wine glass, we had to hunt for utensils and plates. I thought i was going to have to go buy plates etc. no pool service showed up for the week so we had to clean the pool ourselves. I found a camera in the bushes point at the hot tub and pool that was really the final straw. The doors to the main house wont lock amd raccoons got in and destroyed all food in the kitchen and the refrigerator has no shelves on the door amd broken one inside and it wasn't working and lost half the food in there. They told us it was fine until we insisted. Within 2 minutes of the repairman showing up he was taking it apart to repair it. The floors are gorgeous stone but very uneven and there are a lot of raised edges, have one toe broken and multiple trips. Worse place is at the stove and the stove has melted edges around the door so be careful using it, we had two burned fingers from that nightmare. 6 bathrooms 3 with a/c 3 without its a sweat house sauna in those three So i would invest my money at another place then this nightmare unless you want a...

Can’t say enough about this place, what a cool hidden gem with lots of privacy. The layout and size of the place is trurly something you need to experience. We have stayed in many places around Jaco and this one had a special charm to it that make it unique and stand out from other villas or hotels. The staff is exceptional and super professional they attended to all our needs and gave helpful advice. From the pool to waterslide and the basketball court, this place had everything to keep everyone on our trip busy. Special thanks to Jessie and Kori for everything they did. We especially like how safe and secure we felt while staying here, and special thanks goes to Johnathan for cooking some amazing meals for us. If I could I would come stay here 10 times a year. This is the most beautiful house so perfect for families and large groups. There is so much to do including the pool and basketball court and the beach right around the corner (gym down the street as well).
