Municipality of Garabito — Local services in Jacó

American citizen trying to do business in Jaco. I have been assaulted 3 times in the course of business, have had over $2000 stolen from me from locals. All the municipal does istry and collect taxes and fees from property and business owners and provides little to know services. No police protection, no reasonable medical emergency services, trash everywhere, human faces on sidewalk backing up from drains, psychotic mental patients continually harassing people on street, no apparent mental health system. Maybe ok to visit for a short time but a horrible place to live. The men shown are government workers who assaulted and injured me immediately after this picture was taken. Video of assault...

I went to Punta Leona Hotel it was a nice experience the place is beautiful the only problem is the way to get there by car or any means of trasportation is a danger drive cause there is a bridge about to collapse , 30 minutes sandy road , if they are making money in taxes the municipality should be fixing this...

Pésimo. Tuve que viajar 120 km por una Certificación de pago de Impuestos. Llegue a ventanilla y me mandaron a 2 km a comprar unos timbres al BCR por 20 colones, tuve que hacer 45 minutos fila en el Banco, para luego regresar a la Municipalidad y hacer 20 minutos más de fila más 10 minutos atendiendome. Todo esto para que la Municipalidad y e Estado justifiquen una plaza innecesaria en el edificio de la Municipalidad. Todo esto por la incapacidad de poder realizar electrónicamente un trámite desde mi. Movil o lap top, porque un Estado Incompetente, cobra impuestos de primer mundo, pero devuelve servicios de cuarto mundo. Gracias Municipalidad de Garabito y Estado de Costa Rica, por hacerme perder mi valioso tiempo y dinero en esta arruinada...
