This was a great activity and totally worth it! It always of course depends on your guide too and I must say we were extremely lucky in Brandon. He was enthusiastic from the start, knowledgeable, communicative, attentive, funny and very eager for us to see as much as possible. He was explaining everything along the way, spoke about the trees, nature, as well as the animals we saw and didn't see and also, gave us a tarantula show by prompting one to attack his branch, so that we could witness an attack as well as its stillness. He also helped with taking our photos and if you didn't manage, he would share the photos he took later on whats app. The expedition provides torches and have a toilet facility before the start of the tour. We saw multiple tarantulas, frogs, spiders, a green pit viper snake, a salamander, a butterfly, ants and different lizards. I would definitely recommend this tour and ask...
Read moreGreat two hour experience seeing birds, frogs, spiders, and snakes! Brandon was our guide and he was so nice and skilled at spotting animals/insects. My friends and I drove there and there is free parking. We checked in at 5:50pm and at 6pm, we were separated into smaller groups of 6. During the hike (which was easy), Brandon made it a point to remind the front person to go to the back of the line every 10 minutes or so; that way, everyone had a chance to be at the front. We were provided flashlights and when mine died, Brandon had extras in his backpack. He was helpful in taking photos of the insects like tarantulas, because at certain points, the animals would hide but everyone was still able to get photos.
I’d recommend wearing a poncho or rain jacket as it sprinkled randomly throughout the hike, even though there was no weather forecast. Long pants and close toed...
Read moreTo me, this felt like a mass-produced 'experience' of not a very high quality that is optimized for profit. We arrived at a room full of people. After the organizer collected payments they divided us into groups of 8, each with its own guide. We then walked across & around the edges of a farm. Our guide was quite good, made some fairly funny remarks, and seemed to know his stuff. We also saw a handful of animals, mainly sleeping birds, some insects, two kinds of frogs, a snake. But I had a hard time enjoying any of it. I thought the group size was thinking too big (therefore loud) and I couldn't shake the feeling that I'm just being rushed through someone's backyard in order to make a quick buck. It wasn't horrible, just nothing memorable or special. I won't be recommending this particular...
