Endémica Restaurant — Restaurant in Monteverde

One of the best restaurants we’ve been in Costa Rica - good food, vibe, scenery, service and music.

They have a dedicated plant-based menu (vegan/vegetarian) with clear marks of allergen (gluten, nuts, spicy). We ordered veggie frijo and tender beans - both were very tasty. I wish they had vegan desserts too.

The service was top notch. Servers were smiley and friendly. Ann explained the menu well and especially introduced the plant-based menu even before we said we were vegan. I expressed special thanks to the waiter Fernando because of his attention to the guests and proactiveness. A gigantic fly happened to land on my avocado. He noticed my reactions and came to help directly. He offered to change the avocado.

We saw some wild life during our dining. They built small water stations for hummingbirds so they came often. We also saw morphos, a coati and an agouti. You can also see zip liners from afar.

Simply outstanding. Had a quick lunch before the canopy tour and returned the day later for dinner because service and food quality were so fantastic. Great variety of vegetarian and regular option (Cauliflower steak and arrow al bosque in both varieties) were prepared perfectly and very satisfying. Chocolate cake for desert was also excellent. We stayed here at the cloud forest lodge and dined at this restaurant. Fernando Mata was our server. He was outstanding in every way! What a wonderful experience ! He catered to our every request with such kindness and professionalism! I highly recommend this restaurant and requesting Fernando as your server. We also had Dennis for breakfast and lunch.
