Our canopy zipline tour was an unforgettable experience, thanks to our fantastic guides, Ruddy and Bryan.
Their professionalism, straightforward instructions, and meticulous attention to safety made the adventure not only thrilling but also incredibly reassuring. From the very beginning, they made sure we felt comfortable and prepared for each activity, which allowed us to fully enjoy the tour without hesitation.
Ruddy and Bryan didn’t just guide us—they made the experience memorable with their humor and friendly conversations, which went a long way in easing any nervousness we had. Their ability to balance professionalism with fun was exceptional, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
We were particularly impressed with how accommodating they were. They took the time to ensure we were at ease before attempting the more adventurous elements of the tour, like the exhilarating Tarzan swing and the climb through the hollow tree trunk. Their encouragement and patience made these challenges some of the most rewarding parts of the day.
The zipline views were absolutely breathtaking. The tour was thoughtfully structured, starting with shorter ziplines to help us build confidence and technique, before moving on to the longer, more scenic lines. By the time we reached the longer ziplines, we felt ready to fully embrace the thrill and enjoy the stunning vistas from above.
We couldn’t have asked for better guides or a better experience. If you’re considering a zipline tour, we highly recommend Canopy Tours, especially with Ruddy and Bryan as your guides.
Their expertise, humor, and dedication to making the experience both safe and fun truly set this adventure apart. We’re so glad we chose this tour—it was the highlight...
Read moreI booked a visit to The Original Canopy Tour Monteverde, as it was highly rated on both Google and TripAdvisor – and having experienced a morning at the attraction, I can see why it’s so popular!
After parking and getting a short shuttle bus to the reception, we checked in and then collected our equipment. The guides introduced themselves, and after a short briefing, it’s a 15-minute walk to the first zip line.
Over the two-and-a-half-hour experience, it involved an extensive network of zip lines, ranging from short lines to some over 500 metres. They were all excellent and really gave you an incredible view of the Cloud Forest.
My favourite activity, however, was the adrenaline-inducing ‘Tarzan Swing’ – where you plummet in free fall before zooming out over the jungle – it’s honestly sensational.
The guides were incredibly friendly and gave clear and easy-to-follow instructions at all times. They demonstrated everything you would need to know, making the experience more enjoyable as you knew they had your safety as their top priority.
We purchased their photos that the guides were taking throughout the experience, and for $25 for over 30 fantastic photos, it was incredible value (it was for two of us as a couple).
If you’re looking for an adventurous and slightly different way of seeing Monteverde and the Cloud Forest – it’s a must. It was great value considering all...
Read moreWe did this tour yesterday and it was so much fun! I was really surprised by how many safety measures they took and I felt really secure, which was great especially because my wife was really nervous before going, because it was her first time. Although she felt that way in the beginning, she was grinning ear to ear by the end and she said she would definitely do it again. She did chicken on the hollow tree, Tarzan swing and rappelling, but me and my two teenage daughters did it and had an amazing time! The hallow tree was super cool and chill, and the rappelling was something I had never done before and I enjoyed every minute of it. They had two guides at the top, hooking us in, and one at the bottom taking control of the rope. We were basically free falling for most of the way, and then we stopped near the end for a slow finish. The Tarzan swing was also one of the coolest things I’ve ever done! It was really scary for the couple seconds, when we were dropping, but me and the kids loved it and wished we could it again. On one of last cables, my kids had to go together because they weren’t heavy enough, but they said it was actually really fun and that was a good one to go together for, because it was half a mile long! Our tour guides were very nice and helpful and we would definitely recommend this tour. They also provided transportation to and from our car and had a shoe...
