Dujam Hotel — Hotel in Grad Split

The rooms were sparsely furnished, but the towels, linens, and bathroom were clean so it met my minimum standards. I don't watch much tv on vacation, but the one provided in the room was only about 19". The AC was strong enough to feel cool (typical single room wall unit). Although it was a non-smoking room, it had a strong cigarette smell, but I was tired enough that I decided to live with it for one night. My friend in the room next door did not have any smoke smell issues, so I think I was just unlucky. The beds were not too comfortable but good enough. The location is about 20-30 minutes from the city center with a grocery store or two on the way. Because of the distance, an Uber or taxi is necessary to get between the bus station or port and the hotel. In general my room was okay, same like on the pictures. That's all about a pluses. If someone wants to cook, it's a big problem. For whole hostel there are only two kitchens, sometimes one. Also it's not so well equipped and you need to wait more than 2 hours to cook something because the cooker has only two burners. Also the common parts almost always are dirty, what is disgusting. The communication with the hostel is hard. They ignore the emails and till you will not call them and force them to answer you, you can wait forever. Also I need to beg them to give ny deposit back. I stayed here as part of a tour group and was placed in room 409. |The carpet in my room was dirty, with black marks on it (see below pictures). There were hairs in my shower. The bathroom mirror was far to high for me to see into (admittedly im 5'2"). The T.V was a tiny box from the 90s and would not even turn on.
