Tough one to review. Some things I enjoyed about our stay at Ellure but there were more elements that didn’t work for us.||Firstly, be aware that the location of the hotel is a solid 30 mins walk from old town, but the scenic route along the coast is very pleasant. ||Positives |- Free parking (there was plenty of room out front we didn’t need to use the garage area).|- Nicely set out large room, huge king size bed, good linens, plenty of storage space, one complimentary bottle of water.|- Amazing panoramic window onto balcony with super smooth open/close.||Negatives|- Lack of soundproofing in walls between rooms and into corridor (you could hear everything).|- Curtains don’t extend quite full width so don’t expect blackout conditions.|- Set back from sea / local marina so whilst you have a sea view it’s not actually that interesting. |- Our kettle leaked boiling hot water all over the worktop (this was changed for another when we complained), but not even another complimentary bottle of water in compensation.|- No spoons for tea / coffee making (one plastic stirrer for whole stay).|- Housekeeping walked into our room on check out day at 8.30am without even knocking.|- Breakfast room is small and lacks any form of atmosphere. We were not given breakfast times at check in (nor was there any info in bedroom). So when we wandered down at 10am we were not made to feel very welcome as they were clearing up. The breakfast selection didn’t live up to our expectations and we didn’t feel it was worth the €19 euro price tag. So we didn’t bother on subsequent mornings. On check out there was 25% tax on top so came out as €23.75. Maybe hotel should consider a more affordable option for just a coffee / croissant. Or just go elsewhere for breakfast / brunch! ||I do a lot of research before booking any hotel, and this is one of the few occasions where I’ve returned from holiday and am still questioning my choice. ||In hindsight staying closer to old town Split would have been preferable as we spent so much time walking there, even to just get coffee or breakfast. Plus I didn’t feel the place lived up to its luxury name...
Read more(This is an older review that I didn’t get a chance to post ) The Ellure Luxury Suites was the perfect vacation dwelling for us. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The modern decor and functionality made it feel like a home away from "Home", which made for an extremely comfortable stay-so much so, we extended our visit an extra night. We opted for the King Partial Sea View, with what turned out to be a fully equipped kitchen. There's also really nice workout room on the bottom level, though I must admit I didn't use it, but will definitely do so on my next visit. Breakfast offerings included a fresh array of fruits and freshly prepared breakfast foods. There was something to satisfy all palettes. The food was delicious and made for a great start to each day. A special thank you to Snjezana, for always greeting everyone each morning with her wonderful smile and willingness to accommodate guests needs. The owners take great pride in the establishment and it shows. They thought of just about everything that would make this a luxurious vacation spot. For those who feel like it is too far away from Old Town because of the 20-25 minute walk, consider taking Bolt or Uber. We can thank Lara at the front desk for giving us that tip. The trip to city center cost less that 3 Euro each way, with minimal wait times. We rented a car, since we were also traveling to Dubrovnik, and the Ellure has free and secure parking. There are wonderful restaurants and beaches within walking distance, and a supermarket. The convenience of the location made this an excellent choice for us. The entire Ellure staff, from reception to guest maintenance, were very professional, helpful and very friendly. Thank you George and the Reception team of Nina, Lara, Ivana, Ante and Andela. Your personal recommendations and complimentary services made our Anniversary even more special. We look forward to our next...
Read moreWe can’t recommend this wonderful hotel enough; excellent staff, cleanliness and comfort. |The hotel arranged a taxi transfer from the airport (€45 - cash only). We communicated to them by email that our flight was delayed and they responded immediately and informed the transfer company. Their check-in online states 14:00 to 23:00; we arrived at 22:58 to a lovely welcoming smile and were given full details and quick tour of the hotel. |We were very impressed when we entered our room, 403 ‘Adria’, with sea view. The excellent aircon was much appreciated. The room is laid out well with plenty of wardrobe space, even a place for your cases. A complimentary bottle of water was very much appreciated and there is a fully stocked minibar. All toiletries were provided and replenished daily as were the tea/coffee but milk is not provided. The balconies are a really good size with furniture and view of the harbour.|To walk into town, if you turn left out of the hotel and then right up the hill, followed by left at the traffic lights, it takes about 25 minutes. We didn’t take transport but did look and Bolt was charging €8 peak time. It took longer if you walked along the coastal path. |We booked one restaurant from home for our first night, but other than getting prime seats, it’s really not necessary. You can have your pick from fine dining to take away fish and chips!|There is a number of restaurants and bars around the hotel and they are so much cheaper and good. |We spent our last day by the pool which is very quiet, relaxed and very well maintained. |We genuinely couldn’t fault this wonderful hotel (and we’re very picky). If we’re lucky enough to visit beautiful Split again, we will definitely stay here. |Thank you to all the team for...
