I'm really surprised there aren't more reviews for these comfortable and well-located rooms in Split; we booked off the back of some excellent reviews on Booking.com and were so pleased with our choice! The rooms are located about a 20 minute walk (at most) from the 'centre', by which I mean the main ferry harbour and Riva/ Old Town area. They are right on a pretty marina, with a couple of good restaurants on the doorstep (a few are literally based in the same complex). If you continue your walk away from the centre you come to some nice little pebbly beaches for swimming (with good amenities). Your walk into the centre will take you past Bacvice beach. We really enjoyed the picturesque walk in during the evenings, and the opportunity to walk off what was inevitably a big meal on the way back at the end of the night! ||||I have to admit I was a bit apprehensive when we were first led to our room on checking in; having already descended one flight of steps to get to the reception area we were led down another, and I was slightly worried that our room might be subterranean! However, we were delighted with the room; the pictures online really didn't do it justice. Clean, bright and modern in décor, with a big window with views of the marina. We paid a little bit extra for the room with sea view and private terrace, which was fantastic! The terrace itself is huge, directly overlooks the pretty marina, and is equipped with comfortable seating, a table and a big sunshade. The room next door also had a big window with a view of the marina, but no terrace. ||||One of the biggest positives about our stay here was the service. We unfortunately can't remember the name of the girl on reception who checked us in, but she was amazing! Split was the first stop on our little tour of the Dalmatian Coast, and she really was such a lovely introduction to the hospitality of the Croatian people. Incredibly friendly, warm and helpful from the start, she gave us lots of ideas about where to go and how best to get there, offered to help us book a taxi when we needed to get ourselves and our luggage to the ferry and hadn't pre-booked anything, and just genuinely seemed to show a real interest in what we had been up to and our comfort throughout the whole stay!||||We ate in the restaurant based in the same complex on the one night (can't remember its name, but it is the one with the outdoor seating and terrace overlooking the sea), and the food, service and setting were all lovely. ||||If you are looking for good value, clean and comfortable accommodation during your stay in Split, and don't mind not being based right in the centre, I can't recommend this place enough! One word of warning- our taxi driver from the airport had a little trouble finding the exact location to drop us off at on the first day (he was quite young and had never been there before)- after a little driving around, he phoned the rooms (we had the number to hand) and spoke to the lady mentioned above who went out of her way to guide him and come up to the...
