Guest House Exalto — Hotel in Grad Trogir

Stayed at the Guest House Exalto for a week as we decided to have Trogir as our base. Picked up our hire car at Split Airport and drove to the accommodation which couldn't have been easier. One thing we noted with Trogir is due to the little lanes a lot of the accommodation isn't accessible by car and can be difficult to find. No such problem with the Exalto, across the bridge onto the island of Ciovo, a quick left and right and we were there, parked right outside.||||We arrived early (11.30) but Marijana was there to meet us and show us to our room which was on the top floor up two flights of stairs. There is no lift so something to keep in mind if stairs present a problem. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was a little small but you don't live in a bathroom so it didn't bother us. ||||Location of the Exalto is excellent for Trogir, a 5 minute walk away from the centre but in a peaceful area with no noise. Yes there are planes flying over on occasions heading in to Split but you hardly notice with the windows closed and anywhere in Trogir will experience the same noise level. ||||The room had a fridge, cutlery and a kettle so not really self catering, more like a hotel room but without the option of going downstairs for breakfast. We managed with bread, cheese and ham and a drink each morning but there are plenty of places in Trogir to get a breakfast if you wish.||||We were able to park outside every day although the road is very narrow, glad we had a small car (Volkswagon Up!) as anything else would have been a struggle fitting through the gaps between other parked cars!||||Overall we were very happy with the Exalto, Marijana was lovely and very helpful, if we were staying in Trogir again we would...

Me and my husband stayed here in June ! The guest house is perfect in every way it's a beautiful building that has been restored by the owners Ivan & Maruana keeping it traditionally Croatian in appearance.|Maruana has then given it that modern look by the soft furnishings she has added making it aesthetically pleasing !!|Ivan & Maruana are the perfect hosts offering advice about the local area & accommodating towards our needs whilst we stayed there.|The guest house has a beautiful tranquil garden and a seating area where you can sit & have a glass of wine & relax.|The guest house is also in a fantastic location only a 5 min walk into the centre of Trogir but situated in a quiet street so perfect. |Can't recommend this place enough to stay and can't wait...

I booked the studio and was very happy with my choice. You have a little more space than in a normal room and in the small kitchen you can also prepare a meal for yourself. The room has Wifi at a good speed. The studio has 2 air conditioners and can cool down the whole room on hot days. There is a Netflix account on the TV and so even those who don't have an account can watch a movie. Otherwise the room is very lovingly furnished and the style is kept in the whole house. The location is perfect, in 4 minutes you are in the old town of Trogir. Therefore this place can also be recommended out of season.
