Maja Apartments — Hotel in Grad Trogir

The authentic heart of Trogir is tiny, with an approaching strip full of poor accomodations. We arrived in September 2013 without a place to stay for two nights and stopped at the first "sobe" (apartment) sign we saw in the actual old town. It turns out that Maja runs both the lodging and the hair salon around the corner. She gave us a good deal since it was toward the end of the high season. The sobe is well-renovated with crisp decor, though we found some minor maintenance matters which did not ruin our stay. The entry hall smells strongly of perfumy products stored in a cabinet there, which might affect sensitives. You have to park at a municipal lot about 300 yards away, but it's a pleasant little walk once you've found the place. This was a very pleasant accomodation in the middle of a unique place. I had an amazing stay at Maja Apartments! The location couldn't have been better; it was conveniently situated, allowing easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. Maja, the host, was extraordinarily attentive and accommodating, making sure every aspect of my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

The rooms were more than satisfactory for the price paid; they were clean, cozy, and had all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. The value for money was definitely a highlight.

It's been a few months since I moved to Croatia and the day has come when I needed a haircut. I went to Maja hair salon (just the first on my way) to be utterly disappointed: I felt unwelcomed but, more importantly, the haircut was bad.
