I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOST! Don't volunteer at this place unless it's through worldpackers. They don't respect your schedule. I contacted this host through Instagram and went to volunteer there and it was the worst volunteer experience I've ever had. I don't recommend it. I arrived at 10 pm and the next day I was asked to do training (clean the entire hostel) after which the host's cousin girl who worked there left and left me alone in the hostel. I worked for 8:30 without food (There was no one else there besides me, I was forced to take care of the hostel, check in. The girl left and there were no other employees there. All this after having already cleaned the entire hostel alone). It had arrived the night before. I sent a message to the host who was traveling and he told me that someone was arriving, and no one arrived until the evening, it was a lack of respect, then my room was shared with guests (I didn't have a room just for volunteers as it was normally ) I slept with the guests in a female room, but then in the second week I was there they asked me to change rooms without warning and put me to sleep in the mixed room with men, I had been working for two weeks and only had 1 day of day off, when I questioned the host he told me that I was supposed to work 32 hours without food included and only 1 day off, totally different from what he agreed with me through WhatsApp. After this bad episode I told him I was leaving because I wasn't respecting what we agreed and I left the next day. The worst part was getting sick and working in the heat in the summer because the hostel's air conditioning is turned off during the day! It has great reviews on the platform, that's why I went, but the comments were from people who had never volunteered before. so be careful. I spoke to a girl who volunteered there through worldpackers and her experience was good because she went through the platform, completely different from what I experienced there. I DO NOT...
