Penzion Albatros — Hotel in okres Český Krumlov

I visited Cesky Krumlov with my wife in August 1st for two days(one night), coming from Austria.I had chosen Pension "Albatros" and prebooked two months before, based on the very good reviews and good prices given on Booking.com. I was not dissapointed at all!! We were given a twin bed room up in the attic. The room was clean,charming with enough space for two and only two disadvantages: 1. Because it was a hot day(35 Celsius) the room was toooo hot and 2.The en - suite shower is not suitable for standing people short, medium or for godshake tall ,as you jave to sit in order to have a shower, because on top of your head, you have the roof! Otherwise, the owners are really polite, breakfast in ground floor was buffet style with great variety of goodies, parking space out of the hotel. It is a bit out of the historic centre, but for walkers like my wife and I, this was a joke! And the price (35 Euros) for one night that I payed is unbeatable!! I do recommend this pension for young and middle aged couples who can walk a bit,but do not take attic room during...

On arrival the owner did not have our booking. We booked on an online website - we choose this pension based on online ratings, free wifi, and inclusive breakfast. ||||The owner gave us a key and changed our room from the attic room to one downstairs. In retrospect, it was okay - but I was a bit startled at first thinking we had gone to the wrong hotel. ||||Room was clean with cozy comforters. The bath had basic linens - and a hairdryer was provided at the desk. Limited number of outlets for charging things. ||||The public space had a kettle and access to a fridge to keep items cool if required. ||||We seemed to be the only guests in the pension - no staff onsite to answer questions during stay - so had to sort of figure it out on own. Walking distance to the old town square. Finding restaurants was simple. Penzion Albatros is good value budget accommodation close to the old town. We arrived outside the check in times and found the door locked but when we rang the owner she sent the maid downstairs to let us in with our bags and then we came back later to check in. We chose the attic room, which was very hot due to unusually high temperatures at the time of our stay. I would recommend choosing a room lower down in summer. Also you cannot stand up in the shower, you have to sit in the bath and use a hand held shower. Breakfast choices were good. Wi fi worked really well and was free.
