I do not recommend this place.
I was warmly welcomed during check-in and had high expectations for my stay.
However, I was assigned a smaller room than the one I booked. A few minutes later, I went to the reception, but there was no one there.
It seems to only operate when guests check in.
I called to request a change to the room I originally booked. The owner answered and kept repeating that there was no problem with one person staying overnight. There was no apology, and no staff was sent to resolve the issue!
The owner only informed me of the time they would be available to visit. I had to wait for over 3 hours and 20 minutes.
That time was really boring and uncomfortable. I also informed the accommodation of this situation via email. The owner replied in Czech. This behavior shows a complete lack of consideration for the customer. I had to search the internet to interpret it because my SIM card wasn’t working properly.
In the evening, I met the owner, who said there was no problem because the large room I booked and the small room I received were the same price. I was astounded.
They continue to sell two types of rooms separately, yet assign rooms arbitrarily without seeking the guest's consent.
Only one bath towel was provided, and the balcony on the first floor was adjacent to an alley, so I couldn’t open the door or curtains.
The breakfast was simple, but the homemade drink was quite good. There needs to be a more proactive improvement in the service mindset...
Read moreWhat a great find for a 2 night stay in Cesky Krumlov. Had a warm and friendly welcome by the owners including a refreshing welcome drink. We were staying in the red room which is on the ground floor and had a balcony with lovely views of the town in the distance. Very quiet and although no air con we were able to sleep with the windows open for a nice breeze during the night. Lovely room with nice furniture, small fridge, comfortable bed and very clean and well looked after. Parking was safe and on site, the gate closed in the evening. Breakfast was good and served between 8-9am with cooked items such as egg and sausage, fruit, cheese, cake, coffee machine. Only a short walk into town except for the fact that it is rather a long steep hill up and down. We walked this as a penance for eating too much in the evening at the restaurants but if you are not that fit it could be a bit of a chore or you may want to get a taxi in and out of town I suppose. The owner spoke good English and was very helpful in recommending restaurants. The only thing I must warn about is that the hotel does not take credit card at all so bring cash to pay for your stay. The owner does recommend the ATM in town but beware the exchange rate, it was far cheaper for us to take our banks exchange compared to the one offered by...
Read moreHosts were polite and gracious, we walked uphill to the apartment the host was waiting and grabbed all our luggages and took them up the last hill to his house. Which we greatly appreciated cus we were knackered. Upon checkin he gave us fresh juice and along with keys. The place is well equipped comes with a paper of instructions and wifi instructions. They gave extra pillows candy and shower gel with each towel.
The pillows could be better as they are a lil filmsy and not very comfortable. Our unit came with a full kitchen so we made our own breakfast while we were there. The dishwasher worked great as well without issues. There is a smart tv with Netflix and YT apps but the entire time it said device is not connected to wifi so it didnt work which was a bummer as we wanted to watch tv. We did contact host but she was unable to understand the issue and thought it was wifi connectivity issue but that was...
