The first impression was terrible. To get into your room, we had to pass through pub, which was full of smoke and locals staring on us. Everybody silenced when we asked the waitress if this is the entrance to the pension. She was polite and took us through background and kitchen to the pension rooms staircase. ||||There are 3 or 4 rooms, which have good size and are clean. The furniture is from early 90's, but functional. The problem is the pub that smalls up to the rooms - a mix of cigaret smoke and burned oil. Even a day later, we can feel it from our clothes. Other problem is the noise that finish at appx. at 22:30 (weekend at even later). Also, the bathroom is so small, that you have a problem to get in to it - see the picture :)||||Second night, the heating system stoped working. We called the manager and she send as to solve it to the pub, where should sit her boyfriend with friends and help us. Nice social experience... boyfriend was very happy to be disturbed and asked the waiter to switch it on. It didn't help anyway. ||||Well, at least we got good price (1260Kč for 2 nights) and were finally happy to save some money. Wifi was OK, water hot, beds clean. The pension has good location, there is a very nice walk to the downtown and thanks to our stay we discovered very nice caffe Kafírna and lunch place Rizkarna. But, we do not recommend this place. Choose any other from appx. 10...

After the first night, the staff forced us to move to another hostel because "the room is going to be completely destroyed because of works of renovation". We were moved to an hostel probably unused by several months (bad smell..)". ||The morning next we realized that our previous room was rented to other customers (we saw two of them smoking on the room balcony). ||Go elsewhere. Cesky Krumlov has lots of better...
Read moreWe didn't stay here but at a nice pension nearby. However, we ate here two nights out of three because it was close, convenient and well priced. The food is not haute cuisine, but good solid Czech food. Generous portions, well prepared. The waiter/barman was not full of personality, but we succeeded in getting a smile out of him. Saved us having to walk over the hill to town to eat in the much more touristy and higher priced...
