Having got this deal on booking.com and paying a good 10 months ago was I hoping for an amazing stay . Let me start... I had several emails asking about the 6 people booked and not the 4 booked people which was annoying as I booked 4 people at the time off the booking .Also about payment (I already paid in full at the time off the booking) several emails later had confirmed I had paid months ago last month. I then thought we would be in the main building off the reception area . This wasn't the case ! I feel it wasnt the apartment we paid for from pictures etc, although a nice apartment . Upon arrival £300 deposit was taken( I've had to email asking if the monies have been put back!!!) . I dont remember seeing an email advising this lucky we had cards with us to pay so its FYI. They are also very strict on hen/stag duos(this was mentioned even though we were 2 x couples at check in) ie they wouldnt let you stay FYI.We then had a hot long walk to our apartment again this wasnt advised via email we would be half way round the other side off the main building 10 minutes walk. Again for disabled or family or older people this might off been a hassle. There was a note on my booking .com messages but no email about the walk although very brief about the location, I didnt check my booking.com messages as I wasnt expecting to walk 10 minutes away from the main reception. I did try argue my case this fell on dead ears !! The apartment was in what can be described as a yard with a lift and had a security guard up and down checking on us his face peering though the lift window. The lift didn't always work (activated by a medal fob) and is about 7 floors up and I honestly couldn't be bothered with mither off complaining with reception about the diva lift. The apartment was lovely clean ok view ,would I stay again... no the hassle/emails/diva lift has put me off and the walking around in a hot Prague cases in toe after a 7 am flight to get our apartment. We had arrived early and our apartment was ready we asked if we could have the apartment 45 mins early it was explained we would be charged far enough! I can only describe it as a "fur coat no knickers" scenario and next time I might be better not being sucked in by the pictures off the rooms ........
Read moreI came here with my cousins, total of 5 of us. I got a 2 bedroom family suite, and there's also a pull out bed in the couch in the HUGE living room. This place was the biggest hotel/apartment I've ever stayed. Usually it's hard to find a roomy place for 5 people without feeling squished or condensed. There was a kitchen, dining area, 1.5 bathrooms, which made it so efficient for us to get ready for bed or getting ready in the morning. The place was so clean and pristine, the beds were comfortable, the area is very safe with multiple key access before getting into the room. The staff were helpful and let us leave our luggage after check-out so we could go around town before leaving to our next destination.||||It is about a 10 minute walk to the train station which was convenient as we had lots of luggage and kids with us, so walking distance to the train station was so great. ||||We had a bit of issue with the keys as the lock got stuck and we were locked inside the room. I had to activate my phone to international to call the front desk as there is no in-room phone in the room. ||||Another con is that I was charged a deposit when I first checked in, which was fine as it was just authorized but never charged. Upon coming home, I received random refunds and charges from the hotel but no idea why. It wasn't a large amount, but I attempted to call the hotel as well as the booking site, and no one could give me answers. I wasn't mad, but I just wanted to know what the charge was for. Just be sure to keep on a look out for your credit card statement.||||Last Con- you are notified once you get into the room to not move any furniture and be sure to clean all the dishes before leaving. This wasn't alarming, but I guess I'm not used to rules in a hotel. The book was helpful with all the rules and provided great information, but anywhere in Prague you will be subject to strict rules/guidelines, so get used to it when you go.||||Even with the cons, the room and staff were great and I would not hesitate to come back to stay here again. It has a great homely feeling to it and I think that's what I love best about it. Glad I...
Read moreIn general we are rather happy with our stay at the Empirent apartments. We had our stay in the city center ones, so just to be clear not the Grand Central. These are however not on Tripadvisor so therefor this review here.||||The place is well designed, nicely decorated and remodeled. Absolutely no bad things to say about this. The appliances in the kitchen were all Miele and the washing/drying machine a decent AEG. We had airco, built in roof windows with electric shutters, a good TV and comfy beds.||||However a few things did cause a bit of a disappointment. First of all the house itself was covered in a lot of scaffolding, which we did not expect and made it harder to find (something worth mentioning). But the biggest surprise was the massive 90 steps staircase, popping in and out of the apartment was because of that a real hassle. It wasn't something "impossible" but imagine being older or handicapped and not knowing this... Without an available elevator. ||||Worth saying aswel is the way up to the apartment is through a corridor covered in excrements followed by the staircase smelling of these and cigarette smoke.||||The biggest disappointment however was the bathroom, where the ceiling was covered in cobwebs and spiders, this made the overall hygiene go below average. That and the bin still being full of the last visitors rubbish. Also there is a shower-head, but this can only be used in the bathtub, so no actual shower.||||Again, there is a decent amount of luxury and comfort provided, but this does sadly not live up to its expectations next to all...
