I'm from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. And I have been living in prague from last 4.5 years, I have tried several different cuisines but believe me this is not what I expected from you guys. I went with my friend with online reservation on Friday afternoon to have lunch from À la carte. On entering, waiter asked us to sit on small table next to front door even after informing about reservations, he doesn't care for it and saying other tables are big. I chefk that they have terrace/garden on back and we moved their by ourselves. Really disrespectful from 1 indian to another, I mean such a shame on arrival. Later food was ok Vegetable biryani was in handi and it was really cold when I touched and no garnishing of dry onions??? Not worth it according to price. Mysore masala dosa was not spicy, not a taste worth promising, potato was as side dishes!!! You can serve for others but for Indians we generally like to have it in authentic way. How am I supposed to eat ? Like roti and sabji?? 3rd you are really smart on it as you serve little portion on side but if you put filling inside it will be 3 times size, hahaha but my guy I'm also Indian. The table was not clean properly as I can see on chairs and tables some Naan crumbs on it later found out they just take out paper and put a new one, no need to waste energy on cleaning with a cloth. I ordered salted Lassi but it was like purely salted buttermilk. You should use smetana yogurt and jot billy with water mixed. Pl. Feel free to contact me for getting free lessons about customer service and expenditure, i will be pleased to help you. From your past reviews i can see I was not only victim. Still we leave you a tip for 1 person good behaviour. I mean if you don't understand about customer service and food procedure than pl. Advertise that " we will run business according to our means , if you wanna eat then eat or...
Read moreI am writing an honest review only from an Indian perspective. Undeniably the food in this restaurant is wonderful and very close to authentic. My issue was with the attitude of the wait staff everytime I am here (so far thrice). My wife and I were on a date night and we visited this restaurant on a weekday. It was almost empty, except for a white couple sitting at a cozy six seater table in the corner. We wanted to sit in a similar spot for the privacy of the date night. However when we asked this particular waiter at the door to give us a similar table he said, ‘Aapko toh ye table mil hi nahi sakta’, translated, ‘You cannot sit on a six seater table at any cost’. I asked him if these are reserved, he said, ‘No, these tables are strictly for big families and we can only choose a two seater table’. I was shocked to hear such a response when clearly the white couple were given a big table next to the window and were shown a lot of respect. But he probably left out the part, that ‘these big tables are given only to the big group of people and white couples’. I personally felt very insulted by this. I simply request the owner of this fine institution to guide their wait staff to treat everyone with the same respect and not look down upon people simply because they are from their own country. We did not eat here after this incidence. We went to dosa dosa in Mala strana, where the wait staff was white and they treated us with a lot of respect. This is a concerning issue for our Indian wait staff in Indian restaurants abroad. While others are treating indians with respect, us indian should not discriminate our own people.
If other indians faced similar issues, please comment about it and make the owner known about this flaw.
Or maybe the waiter had some personal grudge with me. But I swear I had never seen the guy before...
