I'm from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. And I have been living in prague from last 4.5 years, I have tried several different cuisines but believe me this is not what I expected from you guys. I went with my friend with online reservation on Friday afternoon to have lunch from À la carte. On entering, waiter asked us to sit on small table next to front door even after informing about reservations, he doesn't care for it and saying other tables are big. I chefk that they have terrace/garden on back and we moved their by ourselves. Really disrespectful from 1 indian to another, I mean such a shame on arrival. Later food was ok Vegetable biryani was in handi and it was really cold when I touched and no garnishing of dry onions??? Not worth it according to price. Mysore masala dosa was not spicy, not a taste worth promising, potato was as side dishes!!! You can serve for others but for Indians we generally like to have it in authentic way. How am I supposed to eat ? Like roti and sabji?? 3rd you are really smart on it as you serve little portion on side but if you put filling inside it will be 3 times size, hahaha but my guy I'm also Indian. The table was not clean properly as I can see on chairs and tables some Naan crumbs on it later found out they just take out paper and put a new one, no need to waste energy on cleaning with a cloth. I ordered salted Lassi but it was like purely salted buttermilk. You should use smetana yogurt and jot billy with water mixed. Pl. Feel free to contact me for getting free lessons about customer service and expenditure, i will be pleased to help you. From your past reviews i can see I was not only victim. Still we leave you a tip for 1 person good behaviour. I mean if you don't understand about customer service and food procedure than pl. Advertise that " we will run business according to our means , if you wanna eat then eat or...

I am writing an honest review only from an Indian perspective. Undeniably the food in this restaurant is wonderful and very close to authentic. My issue was with the attitude of the wait staff everytime I am here (so far thrice). My wife and I were on a date night and we visited this restaurant on a weekday. It was almost empty, except for a white couple sitting at a cozy six seater table in the corner. We wanted to sit in a similar spot for the privacy of the date night. However when we asked this particular waiter at the door to give us a similar table he said, ‘Aapko toh ye table mil hi nahi sakta’, translated, ‘You cannot sit on a six seater table at any cost’. I asked him if these are reserved, he said, ‘No, these tables are strictly for big families and we can only choose a two seater table’. I was shocked to hear such a response when clearly the white couple were given a big table next to the window and were shown a lot of respect. But he probably left out the part, that ‘these big tables are given only to the big group of people and white couples’. I personally felt very insulted by this. I simply request the owner of this fine institution to guide their wait staff to treat everyone with the same respect and not look down upon people simply because they are from their own country. We did not eat here after this incidence. We went to dosa dosa in Mala strana, where the wait staff was white and they treated us with a lot of respect. This is a concerning issue for our Indian wait staff in Indian restaurants abroad. While others are treating indians with respect, us indian should not discriminate our own people.

If other indians faced similar issues, please comment about it and make the owner known about this flaw.

Or maybe the waiter had some personal grudge with me. But I swear I had never seen the guy before...

Sangam offers an exceptional experience for those craving authentic and fresh Indian cuisine. The moment you step inside, the inviting aroma of spices sets the stage for a memorable meal. The menu is a delightful mix of traditional and contemporary dishes, showcasing the rich diversity of Indian flavors.

The starters are a great way to begin your culinary journey at Sangam. The samosas are perfectly crispy, and the paneer tikka is flavorful, with a delightful char from the tandoor. For mains, the chicken tikka masala stands out with its creamy, tomato-based sauce, and the lamb vindaloo packs a punch with its spicy, tangy profile. Vegetarian options are plentiful and equally impressive, with the palak paneer and dal makhani being particular highlights.

One of the standout features of Sangam is the freshness of the ingredients. Each dish tastes vibrant and freshly prepared, a testament to the kitchen's dedication to quality. The naan bread, freshly baked in the tandoor, is a perfect accompaniment to any curry, fluffy and warm with a slightly smoky flavor.

Service at Sangam is attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive dining experience. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations or accommodate special requests.

The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and welcoming, with tasteful decor that enhances the dining experience without overwhelming it. Whether you are dining with family, friends, or on a date, Sangam provides a comfortable and enjoyable setting.

In summary, Sangam is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy high-quality Indian cuisine. The combination of fresh ingredients, skillful preparation, and excellent service makes it a standout choice for both casual dinners and...

I came to this restaurant while in search of an Indian restaurant with the best reviews and I can say that I was not disappointed. This restaurant is not located in the most touristic part of town, but as almost anything in Prague you can easily reach it walking or you can also take the public transport which shouldn’t take long. One minor negative point was that I had reserved a table via google and when I arrived there was no entry for my name (not sure what the issue was). In any case, the staff quickly prepared a table for me (I am glad it wasn’t full). The service was quite friendly and professional (even providing a warm wet towel to clean the hands before the meal). I am by far not an Indian food expert, but this was one of the tastier meals I had in Indian restaurants. I had a beer (0.5L), Papadums, Vegetable Samosa, Murgh Tikka Masala, rice and naan. I definitely enjoyed the meal, as everything had an excellent flavor and was delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also quite nice. In terms of price/quality ration, I think this place is really on the higher end of it, relatively affordable prices for tasty meals. I think it is definitely worth it. For my entire meal, I paid around 26€. The only thing that was slightly disappointing was the fact that rice does not come included in the main dish. I understand there are a few other places that do this, but in general, I am more used to have it included in the main dish. Overall, I definitely recommend this place, if you are looking for a very good Indian restaurant with decent prices, delicious food and great ambience.

My Review about an Indian Restaurant Honestly, it was a great and cozy restaurant. I loved how simple and well-organized it was. There were some Gulf customers too, which gave me a good feeling about the place. Their service was really good and friendly. The toilets and tables were very clean, which is always a big plus for me. We ordered two or three dishes, and they looked exactly like the pictures on the menu — and tasted absolutely delicious and flavorful. The manager who welcomed us at the beginning seemed a bit serious and didn’t smile much. Maybe that’s just his personality, but I believe that’s something to work on — guests should feel welcomed with a warm smile. But to be fair, after a while, he got used to us, started smiling, and was more welcoming — especially as more Gulf customers kept coming in. Prices were very reasonable, and even their bread was tasty. The way they serve the food was also lovely and well-presented. There was a lady near the kitchen — super polite and well-spoken, I really appreciated her attitude. If there’s one downside, it’s the location. It’s very far from the city center. Don’t even think about walking there. We had to take an Uber halfway and walk the rest for a short distance, which cost us around 20 SAR (or equivalent). At first, the area seemed a little sketchy, but once you reach the restaurant, everything feels normal and cozy. Overall, I really loved everything about this place. Would I recommend it? Absolutely YES — and strongly!
