I wish I could rate this hotel a 0 !!!
First of all, nobody at the hotel speaks any English. That would have been fine, if the receptionist didn't ask us if we spoke RUSSIAN! Russian, you guys ... in the middle of Europe, they asked us if we spoke Russian. They don't speak English, so they cannot and honestly don't help you with anything. Second of all, the room was absolutely horrendous. The bed was terrible, you couldn't sleep in it without waking up the next day with terrible neck and back pain. The toiled wasn't working and flushing properly. The furniture looked ancient and really low-quality. The breakfast was below average. Nothing special, everything - tasteless. And finally, let me tell you about the rudest service from the owners of the hotel (I assume, we actually never met him, only spoke with him on the phone). We arrived in Prague at midnight, 00:30, had just entered the country and of course, we didn't have local phone numbers at that time (we had internet tho). The hotel was closed and nobody was in the reception. Our tourist company that booked our trip said that the hotel didn't have any warnings about late-night check-in on their booking, so she assumed we would be let in without problems. On the contrary ... we were standing outside of the hotel, with 20kg backpacks, in the freezing cold, buzzing the reception for like 20 minutes. After much knocking and buzzing the buzzer, I think one of the guests heard us from the inside and they must have called the owner and we finally got buzzed in. The owner called the reception phone right after we got buzzed in and I answered it .... when I tell you, how rude, ignorant, and absolutely unwelcoming that guy was ... the worst attitude! he kept screaming over the phone "why are you knocking on the door, why didn't you call me, do you know what time it is?". Even if he was right and let's say we were in a complete wrong, is that how a hotel owner/manager/receptionist should welcome new guests? These guys are just the WORST. I understand that this is a cheap hotel and you shouldn't be expecting any luxury, still, how about a basic hotel decency that's necessary for a person to feel when they are staying in a foreign country? If we weren't on a budget and this wasn't my last stop of my vacation, i would have stormed out of there. It sincerely was the absolute WORST hotel I have ever stayed in with horrible rooms and even worse personnel. If I could rate this hotel a 0, i would. I am just honestly rating its location as decent. There was nothing and i mean it - NOTHING else good about this horrible experience.
Hotel Olga owner, before you come after my review (as I have seen you do with other bad reviews) just re-read it and try to objectively see how I could have gotten such horrendous experience at your hotel. It doesn't matter that your hotel is cheap, it should have some quality anyway!...
Read moreThis is a place you go to if your standard is "I don't want cockroaches under my bed".||We arrived at 5 pm and no one was at the desk. We had to call the emergency number, and a man told us very rudely to keep ringing. After 10 minutes or so, a woman finally shows up to her job.||We immediately get asked to pay a 2€ per person city tax, per night. A quick Google research showed me the tax was 0,60€ per person, but I had a whole week to stay and I decided to let it slide.||The room is furnished with old Ikea stuff. In the 7 nights me and my family were there, we had to ask for clean towels after 4 days, because they'd just fold the ones we had already used, with mascara stains and all. The first night I put my beauty blender on the bathroom shelf and left a bit of make up on it. That stain on the shelf greeted me at the hotel for the entire week, as our room was cleaned exactly once in 7 nights, if you consider quick vacuuming cleaning.||There was mold and hair on the soap we were graciously provided with.||I had ham and cheese for breakfast for the entire week, because nothing else looked appetizing: the frosting on the stale, sad cupcakes we were offered was barely holding itself up. We had to put our dishes back on a white shelf by ourselves.||The staff treats you like you're a great inconvenience to their day, and the lady at the desk gave us the wrong tramrail number to come back at the hotel. Every morning, in spite of having no more than 20 guests on their busies day, we were asked very aggressively which room we were in. I'm really sorry for having stayed so long in your business, I PROMISE that's never happening again.||We paid 580€ for this stay, 7 nights for three people. I had found a cheaper hotel, but sadly it didn't have a room available for the whole week. I regret not booking a hostel, that would maybe have been cleaner. Being a cheap hotel doesn't mean you shouldn't even vacuum the guests' room and give clean towels, and a smile and welcoming attitude cost exactly 0 crowns.||The only good thing about this hotel is that it's really near to the city center.||Definitely not coming back, and there's not enough reasons to say you...
