This past Sunday, November 17th, we decided to visit a restaurant, because it was near the National Gallery, encouraged by its excellent rating – 4.5 based on over 500 reviews. We expected a delicious meal at a reasonable price, but unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfying.
We ordered dishes from the daily menu: chicken soup, two portions of pork goulash, and fish risotto. Sadly, none of these dishes met our expectations. The chicken soup was bland, and even adding salt and pepper couldn’t improve its taste. The beef goulash was sour and unpleasant – one of my friends couldn’t eat it at all. The fish risotto tasted suspicious, with my friend commenting that the fish didn’t seem fresh.
I was the only one who finished my meal, but none of us enjoyed our food. To make matters worse, all of us experienced stomach discomfort shortly after leaving the restaurant. We ended up heading to a McDonald’s for some peppermint tea to settle our stomachs.
On the positive side, the staff was friendly and informed us that tips were not included in the bill. However, the quality of the food was extremely disappointing and fell far short of the 4.5 rating we had seen online. Perhaps we were just unlucky, but our visit left a bad taste – both literally and figuratively. I’m writing this review on behalf of myself and my friends to warn others that the high ratings may not reflect the actual quality of...
Read morePaid the bill for 1200 and gave the waitress 1500. She left and never came back. We asked for our change but told us she thought it was a tip but we never said so. We wait and she give us 200 back, still holding 100 in change as a tip that we are waiting for and claims she doesn't have change. We always give tips but this woman deliberately kept the change and didn't want to give us our change back Be careful when you pay and always give the right amount if you don't want the waitress to keep your change as a tip. Overall food was good but very disappointed with the way the waitress kept the change, ran away and...
Read moreStumbled across this place on our visit to Praha and we were immediately very impressed, and returned again for more, after our first visit! The staff are lovely and quietly attentive, the beer is good, the place is clean and it has very friendly vibes. It's a place where the locals hang out, and you can tell that it's a part of the core of the community: quite low-key and non-fussy, and a real pleasure to enjoy in peace, even as a (well behaved!) tourist. The food is traditional, wholesome, very fresh and tasty. Great value. Highly...
