The staff is a dream. everyone is incredibly nice and super helpful, rarely seen something so great! Many thanks for that! Arrived in our room (414) we were very disappointed by the run-down space. we knew it was going to be a very small room so we booked it. We only wanted to sleep here, but: The room is in dire need of renovation. Starting with the holey walls where putty saw. Vacancies in the ceiling and on the window. As well as wall paint that was painted extremely unclean. There were no bedside lamps or pictures, although these were shown in the website photos. The hair dryer switched itself off after a minute and smelled like smoke the whole time. The shower head fell off while showering. Now we come to the worst part: the bed!! The bed squeaked so much that we couldn't sleep the whole night. Squeaking is an understatement - the noise was excruciating. The fan was broken and hummed extremely loudly all night. We could have thrown the money out of the window (which was open all night anyway because it was so stuffy in the room), because what we had paid for: a bed, was not given. The next day we got a new one and felt like we were in a different hotel - that was ok. Breakfast was a bottomless disappointment (not as bad as the first room but close). If someone expects a breakfast like the one in the pictures - it doesn't exist. the breakfast room is small and stinks. there are not enough seats for everyone. we had to eat standing at the buffet for 3 days because it was completely overcrowded. sometimes we went back into the room to see if something was free later, but it was always overcrowded. Nothing was appealing here and juices, croissants, etc., like in the pictures, weren't there. All in all we can only praise the staff, which deserves the 10 stars. Otherwise no recommendation. We are sad to have paid so much for this...
Read moreLet's start with a level set. I see lots of 5/5 reviews which makes one wonder if the reviewers have ever stayed in a truly nice hotel. This is a "budget" hotel that is not located in the tourist area of Prague. Those aren't fatal flaws, but they are an important frame for how one reviews this hotels. This is a one frill (as opposed to "no frills") hotel - that frill is the free, included breakfast. Let's start there: breakfast runs for 3 hours, very generous, from 7AM-10AM. During our stay, I went as early as 7 (mostly to grab a coffee from the fantastic coffee machine in the breakfast room) and found the room overflowing with people who were BOTH eating breakfast and stuffing their pockets with sandwiches, pastries, and more for lunch and beyond. This, despite the signs warning to not take food from the room. The result is that if you went for breakfast between 7:30-8, you would find almost no food as you went for them to replenish. The room we stayed in was incredibly cramped and, yes, as others note, the rooms are described as small, but our room was almost all bed. No place for luggage, or to sit other than the bed. Opening the window required climbing on the bed - go ahead, try not to bounce like an 8 year old. The bathroom was tight too and our shower rod tumbled to the ground while one of us was showering. It was startling and the floor was flooded as a result. Lastly, and, of particular note (hope you read to the end), the walls are very thin and the noise travels. A few examples we heard: flatulence, sounds of intimate activity, and just loud talking. I would stay here again because the cost was low and the room was used mostly for sleeping, but if you need more than that, know what you are...
Read moreAs it's name, it was a hotel with small room and bathroom. Receptionists were helpful but there were a few areas that could have been better (and more honest).
The reason I stayed here was because they mentioned "air conditioning". Like many other comments on Google maps, it doesn't feel like the "air conditioner" was working, based on my observation it was merely an air ventilator that keeps the room less stuffy. Two nights (of four) it was so hot I had to open the windows to let the air that was cooler outside in. -So if you are looking for air conditioning, I do not recommend this hotel.
They do have washing machines but it is mainly for staff use, you will be charged 120kč per use washing and dryer (pretty reasonable), given that the staffs are not using it. And that happened to me. On the night before check out the reception helped me "book" the washing machine for 8am the next morning just so it could be done before check out, I woke up early and went down to the reception at the given time just to find that the cleaning staffs were using it for washing and an hour later they said I could use it (while I also needed to pack to check out). It was hilarious. If it's for staff use, just say so, it was a waste of my time having to wake up early to wait for an hour to barely make it to check out. If you're hoping for a washing machine, don't hope. There are far better cleaner coin laundry...
