I booked a single room in Olympic Congress and I got a room with three beds. I had the exact same problem six months ago, only then I had a cheaper room at Tristar. I asked if it was possible to remove the third bed and the receptionist said no, it wasn't allowed. (Both times.) I argued that the room on the picture at the time of the booking didn't have 3 beds, so it looked more spacious, but they didn't care. It felt pretty claustrophobic, with no free space at all. It absolutely doesn't make sense to me to sell rooms as single and put three beds in them. At least show the exact pictures of the rooms one is getting cause this way it's very misleading. The air condition was too weak to cool down the room and even though the thermometer was set to 16 degrees it was still pretty hot in the room under my whole stay. It was over thirty degrees outside, so it was almost unbearable. The reception staff was very unkind. I got the impression they were annoyed each time I asked them something. I asked for a late check out at some point and the lady immediately said no, without even bothering to ask for my room number and check. She said the hotel was fully booked and there's no need to check. Later on I heard from many of my friends staying at the hotel that they got a late check out, so I went to the reception and asked again and then the answer was an immediate yes. Again without checking in the system. I couldn't check in early either, even though some other people did. I arrived something after 11 am and had to wait until 16:00. That was the latest check in I've ever had in any hotel. Ever. Overall, my conclusion is the answer depends on the mood of the receptionist you talk too. All in all very unpleasant experience.

THE WORST HOTEL!! Unfortunately we stayed at this hotel during our school trip on 9-13 February 2024. The first morning of our stay we found 3 bedbugs on the beds. We immediately informed the receptionists whom didn’t even give a damn about our situation. They told us they would clean the room and of course the room wasn’t cleaned after. So in the next hours we found another two bedbugs. The same happened in a couple of rooms of which the girls who stayed in had really big itchy marks and really big red spots from the bugs. We went again to the receptionists and they finally got us a new room, two floors above so we had to move all of our stuff up there. The hotel lacks cleaning staff and the rooms are in bad conditions. Very dirty floor, the sheets and towels are stinky. It’s an absolutely no for me. I didn’t mention the food. Spoiled food served for days in a row, chicken was stinky, the rice was hard as rocks and the cutlery was dirty too. Don’t visit this hotel in case you want to have nightmares. Very disappointed

Hotel Olympik turned out to be a massive disappointment. Going into our stay and knowing it's a four star hotel we expected at least better than average service. The staff was impolite and treated all the guests poorly and have poor communication skills in English. Adequate toiletries were not provided, we were given three towels per day for a room of four. The rooms themselves were unkempt; there was a thick layer of dust on practically everything, dirty windows, cutlery with lipstick stains from previous guests, mattresses with blood stains... The food provided was the same every night and was often times raw and burnt at the same time, for two of the four nights of my stay me and my group went to bed hungry so we didn't risk food poisoning with uncooked potatoes and meat. The staff is used to dealing with large student groups and its clear they have zero respect towards them as paying guests; terrible etiquette.

I don't recommend this hotel at all because of the following:

  1. We reserved a full price triple room , we got a doubl room with a plus bed (there were two nightstands, two glasses in the bathroom, two phone charger, etc..), which of course NOT a triple room. The recepcionist ( who was unpolite and unfriendly) told us, that this is the triple room, they have no other. We paid the full price for a triple room, so it was an incorrect situation from the hotel's part.
  2. In the room we had also a lot of problems.. the bathroom had not proper doors, we could hear everything from inside and vica versa. The "door" was falling out from their place, we barely could close and open it. In the shower the tap was so unmanageable, we could open it eatheir so hot or so cold. The shower head was covered in limescale that's why it wasn't working properly. The room window was falling out also, when we wanted to open it. The room wasn't airy enough, even if we opened the windows, it was so much humidity, that it was hard to sleep. In the TV there were no channels, only radio. they didn't say that the people can smoke inside, we smelled cigarettes on the whole floor...
  3. about the hotel... we spent the new years eve here, it was a huge dissapointment for the price we payed (120 euro/person). The toilets in the public areas were dirty. The food was so overrated, it felt like I was on a school cantine in the middle school. I would fire the cook if I would be responsible for these kind of food... There were cakes from the supermarket, that they just cut it and put it on the table like "they made it". The plates and the fork/spoon/knife were always really dirty (at the breakfast and dinner also), it seemed they barely washed it. For the price we payed (120 euro) for this "amazing NYE dinner" the non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages were not inclueded! (only the champagne for the midnight) I would expect at least(!) that I can drink the non-alcoholic beverages like cola, fanta, lemonade.... The "famous band" who played on NYE, they played almost an hour!!! They were so bad, every time false notes and with no enjoyable music. The people danced mostly when the music was played from youtube LOL. Overall the staff as I mentioned they were rude, unfriendly and not helpful at all, and they couldn't speak english.. We asked the reception if they know a good cafe nearby the hotel. They said, yes, in the hote lobby there is one, but other places are closed... Then we walked to the next street and we found a bar open... So they just didn't want to help us, that's all .. And an other "little" problem: From the two elevator one of wasn't working properly, the door sometimes didn't open and when we pushed the buttons, it didn't move at all. We told to the recepcionist, and they did nothing! They should have put a sign on the elevator, that is...

on the first day I left a written note, for my room mate (and clearly addressed to them specifically) with my number on it. The cleaning staff used that, kept calling me, messaging me, sort of pretended to be my room mate, saying i was beautiful and asking how long I would be staying. said they had gotten my number from my room.|Reception made me explain the situation to 3 staff members. the only thing they kept asking me "why would a girl be messaging you that, all our cleaners are female".
