The hostel is very old and not well maintained. The room was very dirty, dusty shelves, too much hair on the floor, we found even some old underwear, napkins and a condom package behind the bed. The room smelled very bad because of the old carpeting, so bad it was hard to sleep. We were only given two very little towels and asked at least two times for a bigger or extra one, but didn't receive anything. When we entered the apartment the refrigerator was not working and smelled just horrible. The only shelf in it was even broken. After complaining about it, they at least turned it on. The curtains were very very hard to move and have obviously never been cleaned. They didn't isolate light, so it was very bright in the morning. The bathroom door was so old and was falling apart, so you could not even close it, let alone lock it (which is essential when you're sharing a bathroom with 6 people). The bathroom curtain was longer then it should be and therefore covered in mold. There was no soap anywhere. The toilet smelled weird, but the worst past was the lock, which stated "DO NOT LOCK OR YOU WILL DIE". At first we thought this was a joke, but then someone staying in the other room got locked inside and couldn't get out. Overall, this place is in my opinion not safe and very dirty. The prices are too high for this kind of accommodation. The reception was not helpful at all during our stay.

By far, Prague's best student dorm. It has its own bar in the basement. A good Mensa (cafeteria). Rent for students is around 150 euro per month (127 CZK per night to be exact). There are two or three beds in all the rooms so you have to share the room with one or two people. Bedsheets, pillow cover and blanket covers are changed every two weeks. The cleaning lady comes every week to clean up the apartment. 5 minutes walk to the CTU (CVUT) Dejvicka campus. If you are a CTU student then this is the best dorm for you. Internet is not included in the rent, for that you have to contact Masarka club, their office is inside the dorm.

If you would like to experience a second world student dorm, go with it! I stayed here a second time because of academic invitations, and I shall not stay a third time! The rooms are tiny, cold and barren. I ordered one with kitchen, but there was no, cutlery (not talking about the two "pots" that I would throw away at home), and the woman at the reception told me she got none and I should rather go into one of the surrounding restaurants. The only good thing is the eduroam Wifi, if you have one.

I hate service of the student unie. This month they restarted the internet system in the whole dormitory, so everyone must pay for the internet 800kč. If you need the internet for two weeks only, you still pay 800kč, great job! I registered, they put me in the system and I still don’t have internet in my block. Not even a single WiFi in the WiFi list. So I asked the IT team to move a router closer to the 5 floor, I need to work from home every day, other girls in the block must study. The IT admin refused to do it because “others will have a weaker connection”. Well, at least they will have some connection. We don’t have it at all! During a conversation I used a formal you “vy” and he replied to me with “ty”, though he must be perfectly aware of etiquette rules. Such arrogance. I also booked the study room and went below to take the key. They asked for an ID and money deposit. I gave them my ID and 10 euros because I didn’t have local cash at the moment. They refused to give me the key because they wanted czech crowns not euros. Sorry is it a joke?! It is a dorm and a hotel, everywhere you post the EUR-CZK course, what a lame excuse you have, why out of the blue you refuse to accept euro deposit?! Moreover, for a year already Masaryk dorm has horrendous situation with washing machines. The key is always taken, people wake up at 6am to get the key before others. I couldn’t wash my clothes for a month because downstairs they always say no washing machines are available. I wrote to the dorm administration and they said half a year ago that they knew about this problem. But still nothing changed. Also, the dorm accommodates guys from Erasmus, some of them put loud music, drink and shout in the dorm corridors whole night, no earplugs help. I called different receptionists 4 times, they all promised to stop the noise but they never went upstairs. And because of covid my fav canteen downstairs is closed. So there’s NO good place to eat here. I literally have to take a tram and go somewhere to buy food. I also have to buy food for the next day. Within 15 mins of walking you won’t find a good restaurant. Kebab and pizza place is the only thing they have here and believe me you wouldn’t like to eat food of that quality often. We are 6 girls in a block and for 6 people they offer a small 1m fridge, which is absolutely not enough. Because of that some girls fight over the space in the fridge, I had to stop cooking, because I simply don’t have space for placing products. 2 years ago the dorm was fine, these things didn’t happen. Yes it looks new and cleaning ladies come every Monday. But now I start to really dislike this place and the service. If there was a better dorm or a flat available I would move out the...

This is the worst place on the entire planet. Upon checking in to my reserved room, the sheets and towels were dirty and wet. The rooms are worse than a prison cell, and you might catch a disease simply by walking into them. The showers have brown water because they refuse to replace the pipes, instead they just "fix" them every summer and you're stuck taking a 40 degree shower for a week.

The desk managers are the scum of the earth. They wont help you with anything at all, even when you tell them you live in one of the rooms and are paying to stay here (providing solid evidence such as a KEY TO A ROOM), they refuse to believe it and will not give you what you need. The food is terrible, probably a week old at best, because it changes colors and consistencies throughout the week. The internet in the room is horrible, the ethernet cord destroyed my port on my laptop. The bathrooms in the rooms constantly flood, and its supposedly non-smoking except for the designated areas, but pretty much anyone smokes anywhere. The lobby is the only place with wifi and as a result is a middle school playground at all hours of the day with young people using the internet.

There is no sort of ventilation or air conditioning, so the rooms are worse than the amazon rain forest. I also want to mention how dingy they are, although I think I already have. The floors look like vomit, and they're dirty and dusty, the walls have burn marks from the outlets blowing out, and you can't walk around barefoot because you might catch staff infection. The kitchens have stoves but the burners take an hour to heat anything to a reasonable temperature. Besides, the kitchens are so dirty, you wouldn't want to cook anything in there anyway.

If I could say anything worse about this place, I definitely would because this is Hell on Earth. I can't believe we are paying $1400 to stay here for five weeks to study abroad. My experience in the rest of Prague has been beautiful and wonderful, but this is the lowest of the low places to stay. If you have a wish to catch disease while studying abroad or traveling, you should probably talk to the louts at the front desk of...

Horrible customer service. At 10:30 am they came knocking furiously to the door of my room to demand that I leave the premises by 11h or they would CALL THE POLICE.||Nobody had told us about the check-out time being 10 am. It's nowhere to be seen in the website or in reception. They argued that they had been trying to warn me at 10 am. At that time I was in a phone call with my dad because my mom was being hospitalized due to an emergency. For this reason I did not open the door initially. I told this to the receptionist when she came to my door next and she completely disregarded me and insisted that I left the "hotel".||||I had to swallow my sorrow and rush to pack my suitcase. I left the room at 10:55, and I saw the same woman already walking toward my room prepared to another warning! I felt extremely insulted and taken advantage of.||||The "hotel" is a shabby student dorm which they adapted to host a few more guest for a ridiculously expensive price, considering the state of the rooms and those "holy premises". Also, "adapted" is a strong word, the state of the rooms in the "hotel" is depressing, the rugs are dirty, handle bars are broken, there are barely any sockets... The staff must be used to annoying erasmus students who party all night in the "hotel" and need to be silenced every now and then. That's the only rational explanation I can find for the poor treatment they gave me when I had to be lodged there to attend an international conference. ||||Moreover, the breakfast was insipid, very few alternatives (especially for vegetarians) and again, shabby dining room full of noisy students. Not that I have anything against them, but it's a dorm. It shouldn't be advertised as a 3 star hotel.||||Lastly, I paid for a double room, wrote them to make sure that we would have a double bed, they assured me I would and instead I get twin beds and a third bed in a separate room. They charged 5.950 CZK (about 233€) extra for this.||||In summary: horrible customer service, not a hotel and flagrant false...
