Last minute booking and got this for a bargain price! Actual bedroom was fine, nice and spacious, clean white bedding, beds reasonably comfortable. 2 of the light bulbs had gone, but room was only used to sleep in, so not a massive issue for us, and would have asked if required. Fan was definitely handy, one night was quite warm. Fridge didn't work which was quite disappointing, and part of the reason we'd picked this hotel. Location very handy for us. All in all, room ok. Bathroom was definitely in need of a re-vamp. It was clean but very crampt and old. Definitely let the room down. Bathroom definitely in need of a renovation, a small wet room would be ideal. First lot of towels we had were also very old, certainly not soft and fluffly. Replacement towels were much better. Breakfast was ok. Go early as once things run out they're not replaced. Lots of lovely breas. Small selection of cheese and meats. Small selection of cooked breakfast items. Small selection of fruit. Coffee machine was good. Staff were all very helpful. Spoke reasonably good English. Helped with injections that needed refrigerating, also very efficient when neighbouring young lads were partying in their room one night, knocking on doors, shouting out the windows, banging doors, running up and down, shouting and playing loud music. Staff promptly attended and dealt with the situation. Overall a reasonably good stay for the bargain price we got it at, very central, and worked for what we needed it for. Cheap and cheerful.

The hotel is decent, but I can only give it a three-star rating. We were provided with a spacious and comfortable room that had one big bed and a private bathroom. We were provided with a spacious and comfortable room that had one big bed and a private bathroom. You are not find there a shampoo and only one big towel for person. The room is cozy but you can find a lot of minor damages: a piece of a shelf is broken off, a crack on the mirror, and so on It was convenient to have an elevator, especially considering the amount of walking required in Prague. The staff at the reception were attentive and kind, and one of them even spoke Russian. Our stay included breakfast, which consisted of scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, sausages, salad, yogurts, two types of tea (except green tea), a coffee in machine, cheese and ham, bread and butter, and cake. The hotel is conveniently located near a metro and tram station. Tickets can be purchased through an application, although we opted to use the ticket machine instead. A single ticket for 30 minutes costs 1.5 euros and is valid for all modes of transportation, including the funicular. For those with a packed itinerary, a 24-hour ticket is available for 6 euros. Additionally, there are a few markets, as well as KFC, pizza places, and other restaurants nearby.

F R A U D . DO NOT BOOK IT. Avoid it at all cost, this is not a 4-star hotel. We had the rooms with number 602, 605 and 606. All rooms were dirty with old broken furniture. The bathroom is really small with no ventilation. The towels were partially missing. None of the rooms had hand towels only the body ones and they were yellow with stains. The beds were creaking. The linens seemed really old with wholes. Tiny and extremely slow elevator, it barely fits 3 people and it DOES NOT HAVE SAFETY DOOR. There is no lobby area other than 2 sofas close to the toilet. The “minibar” is just a refrigerator with refreshments. The breakfast room is tiny and it gets crowded. It’s smelly and it looks really dirty. The room 602 is located close to the elevator. You can hear the elevator and the door, it’s really noisy.; The room 605 supposed to be a triple room as they advertise but instead of a normal bed they offer a roll bed which doesn’t fit an adult of 169cm height. All rooms had no sound proof, we could clearly hear the discussions from the other rooms. No safe door, just an old broken door. Not even the basic hygiene.

English version:| |Before you book a stay in this hotel, please take the time to read my account my splendid experience!| |With a friend, I would have booked a stay from 06.09-08.09.2023 at Hotel Meda. Emphasis on would have!| |We made our booking on 26 December 2022 for a relatively affordable price of €104,04.| |On 27 June 2023, however, an incredibly pleasant surprise awaited us. (Exclusively) in Czech (thanks to Google Translate we know what the message contained), we were told that an error had occurred in the system and that our room (which we had already booked half a year ago) was now no longer available. Whether this could be related to the fact that the rooms were now offered for a significantly higher price shortly before our stay and possibly given to other bookers, I will leave open. Instead, we were offered to stay in another hotel - with a definitely less convenient location further away from the city centre - at no extra cost! Great!| |We refused and since this date (27 June 2023) I have been trying unsuccessfully to get a refund for my booking.| |As this inconvenience is on behalf of the hotel, one would expect considerable effort and assistance:|Either I received no response at all to my increased enquiries, or I could enjoy short messages like this one:|"Hello,|The price of the accomodation [sic!] will be refunded, please cancel the reservation here on Booking and send us your bank account number, IBAN and SWIFT code.|With regards|[...], Hotel Meda"|(09 June 2023)| |As a response, I noted that there would be a cancellation fee of €96.04 on Booking.com and that I would therefore - what a surprise! – rather not do so.| |Unfortunately, the messages that my request had been forwarded do not really improve the situation or matter either - when after more than a month I am still waiting for my refund after multiple enquiries and vain attempts.| |To all people who are contemplating booking a stay at this hotel: if you would like to be informed that your room is no longer available half a year after your booking, and you would love to invest a lot of time and effort in possibly somehow getting your money refunded - then let me assure you that you have found the perfect accommodation for you!| |Hopefully my review will both help you make the right decision and prevent you from finding yourselves in a similar situation.| |-| |Deutsche Version:| |Bevor ihr einen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel bucht, nehmt euch bitte die Zeit meine Schilderung der Erfahrungen, die ich machen durfte, zu lesen!| |Mit einer Freundin hätte ich einen Aufenthalt vom 06.09-08.09.2023 im Hotel Meda gebucht.
