Really the basic standard of accommodation here is irrelevant when the payment process is so obscure. Completely dishonourable and unprofessional behaviour…unauthorised full charges were taken upfront at the time of booking, yet this was not stated during the online process (with English translation selected). Although not stated, apparently all are non-refundable rooms (regardless of how far in advance the booking is made) but again this was not stated. ||An unauthorised credit card charge is unacceptable, and refusal to discuss even more so. Despite repeated attempts to elicit a response from a manager in advance of travel, and to speak to one during the stay, this was promised yet never materialised. Even conference organisers could get no response and consequently removed this hotel from their website.||Booked early Mar, stayed mid Apr and still have received no receipt for the monies charged (very difficult to reconcile a business credit card in the absence of this paperwork). ||Using the English language version of the website will not help you in terms of understanding that the hotel will charge your credit card in full, without clearly showing that all rooms are fully chargeable and non-refundable. If you are using a booking site, you may at least be aware of this strange rule and you may choose to accept it – this review is in regard to...
Read moreTwo of us stayed here for 4 nights. The reception staff are very pleasant and speak good English. The hotel is functional rather than plush, as expected from it's former use. Our room was very spacious and quiet being at the back of the property. Comfort level was okay, beds rather firm but that was fine for us. The bathroom was large with a large sink, but only had a bath and no shower (only shower handset and no curtain/shower panel). We had hot water most of the time, although one morning there was none, only green luke-warm water out of the hot tap! We needed the air con at night as it was quite warm still (September). Breakfast was great and plenty of it. Convenient for the metro and trams to the centre. Also convenient to/from the airport. Didn't use the gym/fitness room or the sauna. Overall very good value (for Prague) and I would...
Read moreThis is a simple hotel; that is very clean and well maintained; with excellent Metro links downtown and a walk to Prague Castle. ||||There is a Sauna and some wellness facilities I did not use, plus a local restaurant and bar with many Prague natives next to reception. There are various other food options within a minute or two, including local options plus Starbucks, Paul and KFC. This hotel is on the main road from Prague Airport downtown, making it a cheap and easy taxi ride. ||||Metro A is by the entrance and goes downtown in five minutes, with stops located near Charles Bridge, the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. There are also a lot of trams which are a slower but more...
