One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in this price range. Stylish, comfortable rooms, great design, solid breakfast, and even a surprisingly good gym. Would definitely stay here again!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the STAGES Hotel Prague – a Tribute Portfolio Hotel and had a really great experience. We both love stylish hotels, and this one is brand new and fully themed around music. You can feel the design concept throughout the entire building – from the rooms to the lobby, everything is thoughtfully curated.
Our room was modern, clean, and incredibly comfortable. Regenerative shower, large TV with screen casting, ambient lighting, a fantastic music speaker, a lit mirror, mini fridge, iron and ironing board, big comfy beds with soft pillows – everything was just on point. The air conditioning worked great and was quiet, the window was small but not a problem at all. The room had big windows and felt bright even at night. It honestly deserves a 10/10.
The hotel service was excellent. The reception was friendly, and housekeeping did a great job. Everything was spotless.
We had breakfast included, and for the price (around €50 per person/night including breakfast), I was impressed. The buffet was large enough, with good options, although there wasn’t a fresh egg station – scrambled eggs and such were kept warm in heated containers. The kitchen area was open so you could see inside, which was a cool touch. Bonus points: vegan and lactose-free products were presented in a fridge disguised as a speaker – awesome design element.
We also tried the hotel restaurant and bar. One evening we had great service, the next night it was rather average. The food was okay – the burger and fries were great, the schnitzel with mashed potatoes was decent, and the chicken taco salad looked nice and was fine. Not amazing, not bad – just solid. Pricing was fair for a hotel.
The location isn’t right in the center of Prague, but that’s not a downside in my opinion. It’s about a 10-minute metro ride or uber rider to the city center, and you’ve got a shopping mall next door, a big park for jogging, and even a toboggan track nearby. We actually liked being a little outside the tourist hotspots.
One small thing: the ice machine didn’t work – not a big deal though, you’ve got a mini fridge anyway.
Now here’s something that really surprised me in a good way: the hotel gym. I expected a tiny room with one treadmill and a yoga mat. But nope – this gym is surprisingly big, has free weights up to 25kg, and solid equipment overall. Really impressive for a hotel in this category.
In general, the whole vibe was great – musical design elements everywhere, fast elevators (three of them!), a chill lobby where you can just hang out. It all comes together in a really stylish way.
One really cool feature that I appreciated a lot: you can unlock your room door using the hotel’s app on your smartphone. For someone like me who enjoys going for a run and usually carries only my phone in a waist bag, this was a game-changer. I often find key cards annoying or easy to lose, so being able to just use my phone to get back into the room was super convenient and very modern. Loved that!
Would I stay here again? 100% yes – especially if the price stays around €50–70 per person per night with breakfast included. This hotel exceeded expectations in many areas. Highly...
Read moreThe most satisfying part of this hotel overall was the room — it was clean and hygienic, the room size was spacious, and the hardware facilities were of good quality. However, there is one issue that I feel I must point out, and that is the racial discrimination against people of Asian descent. On the morning of July 4th, when my girlfriend and I arrived at the restaurant for breakfast, a female staff member wearing glasses specifically stopped us to ask for our room number. However, non-Asian guests who were entering the restaurant at the same time were not checked at all and were allowed to enter directly. There were clearly more than a dozen people entering alongside us — why were we the only ones singled out? Was it to suggest that Asians can’t afford breakfast? Or that we don’t deserve to dine in your restaurant? The second incident happened on the same day and also, coincidentally, involved the same female staff member with glasses. Around 1:30 p.m., I felt thirsty and went to the restaurant to ask if there was any free water. The staff inside told me I could get it from the bar in front. When I walked over, I realized the person at the bar was the same female employee from the morning. I politely asked her, “Excuse me, may I have a glass of free water?” Upon hearing my question, her expression suddenly changed, and she coldly replied with just one word: “No,” then turned away and continued with her work. I didn’t respond — I just stood there in shock, wondering why I was being treated this way. While I was still questioning if I had done something wrong, she noticed I was still standing there and added, “We don’t have free water here. If you want, you can go drink from the restroom — there’s free water there.”I firmly believe this behavior constitutes clear racial discrimination — unfair treatment based solely on our Asian appearance — and it has seriously affected our travel experience and emotional well-being. I urge the hotel management to take this issue seriously, conduct an internal investigation into the staff involved, and issue a formal apology for the inappropriate conduct. To protect my rights and raise awareness, I will be taking the following steps:1. Report to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce): This is the official Czech body responsible for consumer rights and monitoring improper business conduct.2. Notify CzechTourism (Czech National Tourism Board): As a visitor to the Czech Republic, I believe I deserve to be treated with fairness and dignity. I will inform the national tourism authority of the discrimination I encountered during my stay.3. File a complaint with the Czech Public Defender of Rights (Ombudsman): This institution is responsible for protecting human rights and addressing cases of discrimination. I will be submitting a full report of the incident to their office.4. I will post a detailed account of the discrimination I experienced on Google Reviews, TripAdvisor, *, and other platforms so that other Asian travelers can be aware and stay vigilant.Respect should be mutual. Traveling should be a joyful and safe experience, not one where people are singled out and mistreated because of how they look. If your staff cannot uphold the basic standard of equal treatment, your establishment is not fit to welcome...
Read moreAs someone who had been working in hospitality for over 15 years, I am quite disappointed with my stay. Let me start by saying I really enjoyed the hotel's overall appereance and design. The room was QUIET with a very comfy bed, spotlessly clean, and nicely equipped. I guess that is where it ends. I was a bit confused by the booking process. I booked a non-ref rate that clearly stated my card would be charged upon booking. To my surperise I received an email 2 days after booking was made that included a link to a payment page to pay for my booking. Hotels of this size seriously do that? Not only the email ended up in my spam folder (so if I didn't check it regularly, my booking would be canceled) but the link itself could have been a spam. I am not a HOCKEY fan so when I arrived I suddenly had to deal with a situation when security would not allow me to drive in front of the hotel. I wanted to park in the hotel's garage but since police wouldn't let me go there, I called the reception and nobody picked up. That is when the security told me about another parking building that is owned by the hotel. I personally feel that hotel should have communicated such to its guests. When I finally got to the hotel, I had to be the first one to greet the receptionist who had nothing to do. The entire check-in process was not in a friendly way. It felt very vague. Honestly, what is the point of the Bonvoy app and its online check-in feature when you have to check-in in person and app room "keys" are not supported here. The next morning I checked out pretty early and when paying for parking at the ticket machine, I attempted to get a receipt (company reimbursement). No matter what button I pressed, the machine didnt give me the required ticket. A man behind me tried as well and it didn't work for him either. The parking building is owned by the hotel (bank statement confirms that) so as soon as I got to my laptop I emailed the hotel requesting an invoice for my stay that the hotel failed to provide me with in the first place and an invoice for parking. I received the accommodation invoice but for the parking I was told an accountant will send it to me. A week later I emailed the hotel again requesting the parking invoice again since nobody contacted me for an entire week. I was told there is nothing they can do and I should have pressed the button for receipt on the ticket machine. Nobody bothered responding to my next email explaining that the ticket machine wouldn't issue the receipt no matter what I did. To wrap it up, while the hotel is very comfortable and rooms are clean and comfy, the staff is an absolute joke to the entire...
