Chic Cabaret & Restaurant Punta Cana — Restaurant in Higüey

Don't waste your money here! They bump the price up significantly then offer EVERYONE half of the FALSE price fooling people into thinking it's a promotion. Guests share price information between eachother so they know the resort have a reputation for this. Other guests advised me that they were gifted this event for FREE!! The food is horrible & cold. You are not getting a 'gastronomical' experience at all. There are much better food options in the resort buffet and room service. I'm in the process of raising a dispute with my credit card provider because they have taken my money but in no way delivered the goods & service which they are contractually binded to; they have also ignored to contact me regarding my complaint following multiple emails and messages I've sent them. Very Unprofessional and fast to turn a blind eye when they please. The show was great but I was interrupted many times, busy seeking assistance from the agent 'Michael' regarding the foul food so this was not fully enjoyable for me. This only get a one star because the show was good and the food was also good everything else beside that was not good. It started the minute we arrived the front desk attendant had gave our hotel concierge a price and then when we got there he tried to charge an extra $115 which was never mentioned to our concierge before hand or told to us. We had to speak to a manager to resolve this issue and waited a good while to have the issues resolved. After the show had ended we had requested an Uber and once he got to the door the security guard (Jose) for Chic Cabaret would not let him in. He was adamant on us taking a taxi even though the uber was paid for already, he even tried to have us take a taxi to the front gate so we can catch the uber from there. After speaking to management and a few of the people that worked there yell at him for having us wait over 20 minutes in the rain they finally let the Uber driver back onto the property. Excellent entertainment with many supremely talented singers, musicians, & dancers. Meal was excellent; service was average. Delivered our wine order to the wrong table; took some effort to sort it out. Request a central stage facing seat; we were right beside the stage but far to the side and had to endure blasting speakers & the smoke machine which was pumping right over our food and then it blasted really loud at the end of the show a couple of times and my ear is still ringing. Dissapointing as a TRS guest who was there really early. It was also awkward to eat courses with dancers/ singers right over top of us-some additional small breaks for eating would have added to the overall show rather than nonstop number after number after number after number.
