Hotel Discovery — Hotel in Santo Domingo

HOTEL DISCOVER IS THE WORST HOTEL I EVER STAYED AT. THE ROOMS ARE EXTREMELY DIRTY AND DUSTY AND THE STAFFS THERE ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I WILL NEVER BOOK A ROOM THERE AGAIN EVEN IF IT WAS THE ONLY HOTEL IN THE CAPITAL OF DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. MY FAMILY AND I HAD THE WORST TIME THERE AND WE WOULD RATHER SLEEP ON THE STREET UNDER A CLEAN TREE SOMEWHERE OR THE TRAIN STATION INSTEAD OF THAT PLACE. DON'T BE FOOL BY THEIR COVER UP ADVERTISEMENT ON THE WEB, ITS A BUNCH OF LIES AND ONCE YOU GET THERE THAT IS WHEN YOU WILL DISCOVER LIKE THEIR NAME WHAT THAT PLACE IS TRULY LIKE. My family and I booked a room with two beds because we were traveling with our child but forgetting that we made a reservation for the day we arrived they ended up giving us a dusty room with one bed and a filthy sofa bed with the nastiest mattress that needed to be in the dumpster a long time ago, sadly all three of us ended up having to share the same bed for what we thought would be one night only but four days later after we showed them how angry we were and how unprofessional they have been to us that is when they decided to give us another dusty room with two beds, which we had to have them clean all over, the walls, the dresser, the curtains, under the beds, the TV man everything is that place was filthy. Dust bunnies was everywhere "yuck" According to some sources the curtains haven't been washed for over 10 years and there were dust everywhere. It will be a waste of your time and money if you go to that hotel. the only time we enjoyed our stay in DR was when we went out. the staffs were very unprofessional and they never follow thru, if you don't hunt them down nothing would get done. Too bad we had to suck it up and buy stuff to clean that nasty place and that was how we were able to finish our stay there. Thank God we brought our personal towels because we were afraid to use theirs . we spent the rest of our vacation with no TV with a WIFI that barely works, the water cooler was very dirty. The only good thing I can say is that the hotel is in a great location but in order for them to continue in business they would have to sell the place to someone who really know how to provide great customer service with a clean place. the experience we had was so awful, we would not even refer our worst enemy...

Very Bad service .When i arrived att first they was nice to us. everything looked fine and nice.i booked a room for 4 people that day and when i saw it , it was very small. first the wi-fi worked perfectly. In the night when i return to the hotel. the wifi did not worked anymore. i went down to ask for wifi and toilet paper because there wasn't ! the two guys att the reception was very rude and they seem like they didn't wamt to do anything for us . i asked for one extra keycard (because we take a room for 4 person and recieved only one key card) they told me that they can't give me one more . The room was to dirty with spider web ,even the room and the bed smell and had like dust. the showers are to old and look like they never clean it good. the televisions are also old and big. the A.C. dont work perfect. when i told them that they say its look fine for them. the wi-fi doesn't work when i told them they told me that his "Wi-Fi " work perfectly and its our phone who has problem. when we show him its not only one phone who have problem. they say they going to resset the box. it never happen. in the next morning i told them again about the wi-fi problem the other reception say it going to solved it. i wait 5 minute and asked is it solved? he told me no. i need to go eat something then when i come back to the hotel it is fixed. so i leave that hotel without an working wi-fi. i will never go back at that old hotel with rude worker's. NOT...

It was the worst place we have ever been. If someone has claustrophobia should not go to this place. In the first look the Room looks worst than from the horror movie- small , dark and dirty. So, Door - if you want go out you have to slam the door very hard a fee times , it was so enoying Bed - the bed sheet was not clean I think it was not change after last guest. The bed sheet was so old and torn Room - was small and dirty TV - we could not use it because the remote control was not working we ask for another one they said that can not do anything or we can change the room but have to pay extra money Electrical socket - there were two which we could not use because was behaid the bed, one more was very high and could not plug anything and one more was in the bathroom Fridge - we ask if in the place in any fridge because we wanted put food into it. The reception lady said that they will bring a small one to our place - it never happened Brekfast - we paid extra for brekfast but did not have it because we run away from this place early morning - could not stay there anylonger

In the pictures room looks nice but probably the pictures was taken years ago. If it was a list of the worst places in the word this place would...
