C. El Conde — Local services in Santo Domingo

I have to agree with everyone in regards to the beauty. It is a beautiful place with many activities and places to go to. I am only giving this review as a WARNING. The scams these people have here to take money from you are unbelievable. They mentioned one price and then charge you another. Keep the change like it was tip. And please do not go anywhere with someone that says they know a better place. Total scams, they basically take you there so they can get a reference fee. And if they think you are drunk they will over charge you. Be careful, don’t go out too late at night. Nothing good happens after 12 am anywhere. And in this country even less. I don’t know if it’s the fact I don’t look like a gringo so they don’t show an effort. But I have been treated with less respect than expected. Such a nice place to walk at night. It has VERY good nightlife, right in the middle of the Zona Colonial. I was traveling alone and I felt very safe all the time.

On the weekends there's live music and the street is packed with people, specially at night, so if you want to take cute pictures of yourself I'd recommend going on a Monday around 9 PM...
