Small safe hotel at Zona Colonial with very friendly and cooperative staff. We missed our flight to the destination and there was not a problem to cancel and book new arrival without charge. Scarle Fuentes contacted me by WhatsApp to organize everything and also a taxi from the airport to the hotel. We were welcomed by Adonis at arrival. He spoke good English and was very polite and helpful with anything we needed which made our arrival and stay very comfortable.|We stayed in room 209 on second floor, there was no elevator, and the stairs were narrow. |The room was ok, with a comfortable bed, bathroom with toilet with paper and soap and shower gel available. Towels and sheets were clean. However, the rooms have very thin walls and at 5 am it was very noisy outside.|Air condition existed but was noisy, and also fan in the sealing was extremely noisy so difficult to use. |Breakfast was basic but included most everything, cereals, milk, yogurt, fruit, omelet, sausages, cheese, salami, ham, juice, coffee and tea.|Safe available with deposit of 20 $ which are returned when you leave. |Top location on main street of Zona Colonial, good place to stay safe for a day or two. Reception manned 24/7.||minus: Noisy, other guests woke me up at 5 am.|Furniture is old and need...
Read moreI stayed at the Tau Casa hotel for two nights and enjoyed myself. I was picked up at the airport on time and the driver was friendly! The entrance to the hotel is secure. Check in was simple. The lobby is tiny and pretty much non existent. The room was small, but cozy and the bed was comfortable. The room had one tiny window in the bedroom area and one in the bathroom, but had no view (I would recommend getting a room with a balcony). The room had an air conditioner which was nice. Although it was just myself, I cam see the room being too small for two people. The staff was friendly and they provide bottled water upon arrival. The only thing I did not like was that I had this weird vibe from one particular staff member when i had a guest with me (who was no stranger by the way), so we ended up hanging outside in the front of the hotel. I’m thinking because it was late and I believe there is a guest curfew? However, I’m not sure. But anyway, the hotel is in the middle of the Colonial Zone surrounded by restaurants and shops. There is a restaurant on the corner where it’s easy to catch a Taxi or an Uber. Overall, my stay...
Read moreBe aware!!! Stay away from this place!!! We had the most terrible experience at this “hotel” first of all after arriving the AC wasn't working and they refused to change our room, I didn’t nt complain that much since I will be in the hotel for just one night. The next they at the checkout they were trying to charge us additional cleaning fees. Adrian the receptionist on Sunday morning gave us the worst customer service I ever seen in my life, he even commented intimate things about my girlfriend in front of other guests. He was literally arguing about my girlfriend period in the front desk on front of everybody, he never took us aside to talk about it. When I talk him about his bas behavior he said he doesn’t care because those hotels policies. Took my luggage and threatened to call the police if I don’t pay the additional cleaning fee which they didn't told me anything about, this wasn’t even written in the policy sheets they gave us. Been staying in Zona Colonial for while and this is by far the worst hotel experience ever...
