I don’t used to that But this time is different , because they can put people live in danger. On Friday April the 19th I was in that street Calle Conde on my way to the hotel since he was raining a little bit I decide to stop there to have diner. The lady in the front care to ask where I want to seat , I think since I was black man they didn’t really care you can anywhere you want I don’t need to care to much about you , to me that how they think. A gentleman can and gave me the menu he never told his name 2 minutes later he came and ask me if I was ready to order I reply I was looking at the pic of your sancocho he look good let me have that and some chicken wings That when he ask me if I need anything to drink I say get me limonade but nit to sweet 15 min later he came with the juice with no sugar Maybe 20 to 25 minutes he bring the soup and few minutes later the chicken wings. I did drink the soupe but every times I took a piece of the chicken the taste was bad since taking chicken and soup didn’t réally get the bad tast if the chicken and the smell was funny . I couldn’t continue and ask for the bill and he was 1290 pesos and I added a 800 pesos as a tip that when I saw a smile on his face. I got home 3 hours after I felt sick I decide to run outside and get me a ginger ale at the corner restaurant . I spent the night vomiting and seat over the toilets I slept maybe 2 hours early this morning I went to the pharmacy and get a pepto bismol and some pedialite and 2 glucena that what I will put in my stomach for today Please try to get people fresh food for their money The chicken was no good at all to sale to someone to put in his stomach Please think about the fragility of some customers Please for your reputation check the meat that you are selling to people in a daily bases When I get home I will go see my doctor to make sure I am going to be ok Your negligence and grid can consequence in other...
Read moreI rarely like to share bad comments to places I visit because I know it might cause people to reconsider visiting. But sometimes it is necessary for their owners to see what is affecting their business and how to fix it. Most business fails from the inside out, not from outsiders. So here we go.... Ordering was easy. I ordered Vodka Penne with Shrimp, a caipirinha and water. My girl ordered a personal vegetable pizza, and a passion fruit juice. First... the caipirinha took forever to arrive, when I asked, the waitress told me they have too many orders in front of me, she went to the bar directly and the bartender made the drinks, in less than 2 mins I had my drink. When my ordered arrive, no shrimps... just Vodka Penne which was delicious, No water, no passion juice yet, I wave the waitress she looked at me like Im bothering and sent someone else. The next waitress I told her about the mistake and she said sorry, I told her I was hungry and that it was ok, and to please bring the water and the juice to my girl. 12 mins after, when I already had finished my plate, still no water or juice in my table, and a gentleman (maybe the manager) asked what was wrong, I explained, and then the original waitress brought the juice. I asked for the check and paid. The food and the drinks were great, but the attitude of the workers will keep me away at a distance. Hopefully the managers and owners work...
Read moreThis was my first visit to the island so I was eager to explore the area and try new restaurants.
Pros: So the ambiance is really nice. It's not too hot or not too cold inside. Not too crowded when I visited either.
Cons: If you are an English speaker- walk with a translator. Even though my Spanish is intermediary/ beginner, I still took along mine.
My waiter rudely stood and discussed me with the lady by the bar. I noticed and unknown to him, I speak Spanish - I am just not fluent.
They made me so uncomfortable as they stood there “thinking they were whispering quietly. Unknowingly to them, I understood them clearly. I said nothing and stared elsewhere while they stood and continued giggling.” I ended up taking my food to go.
Estimate of cost spent: $600-650 pesos/ $12 usd (based on their exchange rate).
Order / Food: I had a tuna sandwich, fries and a soda. The sandwich was flavorful.
Would I recommend anyone? Unfortunately not - the cons really did outshine my experience. I was so taken aback as I really didn’t want a meal. But I had decided to pop in and grab a quick bite while I used my computer to respond to some emails.
FYI. My server was medium built, a bit chubby (with a cap hat on like his uniform) and he worked the morning afternoon shift on Wednesday, April 2024. Very...
