Hostel Centro Quito Ecuador — Hotel in Centro Histórico

A spacious room in a colonial style, however a bit strange. The picture and the lamp shadow are in some plastic foil protecting them from… what? The mattress is soft and has a kind of a recess so we both fall to the middle which is not comfortable. The bathroom is small and not very clean but there is hot water. The price for the double room with two big beds is 26$- the cheapest we could find in Quito. The fact is, there are few hotels in the historic centre and the prices are quite high.||We seem to be the only guests in the hotel. NUNCA MAS VUELVO A ESTE HOTELUCHO. Nada q ver con las fotos que uno ve en internet, pura fachada externa, por dentro da mucho que desear. Primero que la zona en la que se encuentra es zona roja... tanto así que en las tardes ves policías por todos lados, pero por el peligro de la zona. Segundo, la seguridad de la entrada es una reja con candado, el primer día que llegué despues de dejar las cosas en la habitación, cuando quize salir del hotel no podía porque no había nadie, y estaba cerrado con candado. Que falta de seguridad a las normas!!!. Y eso me ocurrió igual al volver, no había nadie que me abriera el candado, tuve que estar timbrando y timbrando hasta que alguien vino DE AFUERA EN LA CALLE, con las llaves que se las había dado el q atendía el hotel pero que se había ido a comprar !!!||Cuando recién llegué me dieron una llave y me llevaron a la habitación respectiva (la número 2), me la mostraron y me dijeron puede ser esta... o si no la de más acá... y me llevaron a otra habitación, pero nunca me cambiaron la llave... LA LLAVE ERA LA MISMA PARA AMBAS HABITACIONES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!||Además que las chapas o cerraduras de las puertas se veían tan fácil de abrir con tan solo un cuchillo. Cada vez q llegaba nuevamente al hotel revisaba a ver si no me faltaba nada.... un desastre de hotelucho... NO LO RECOMIENDO PARA NADA !!!!||Y en la noche da miedo, uno sale y te quedan viendo como si te...

it is private good size hotel. Feel like home small but safe. People here are nice and friendly and so nice.They made our trip easier even we don't speak a word of Spanish. We wont hesitate to go back if we have a chance. Even it s a bit noisy in the morning but that 's common for the city but it's just peaceful in the night. ...
