We have stayed at Mia Leticia 3 separate times in the past 5 weeks and very happy with our accommodations, the staff is 24/7, the breakfast really good and the price cannot be beat! They are a very secure Hostel, offering private and semi private rooms with a lovely interior courtyard and reception/restaurant. We have been to the Galápagos Islands and back, to the amazon and back and doing a 10 day road trip and back again! They have on site laundry facilities, good WiFi, very close to the historical main square, many tiendas to find what you want close by and Marian in the reception is like your own travel agent with many ideas, specific directions, showing you on your on map she provides calls a taxi for you, has concern about your morning diet to make sure you have what you need as we did and way more customer service you would find, speaks perfect English and Spanish. She is MIA Leticias GEM !! Us travelers really appreciate everything MIA Leticia has to offer and especially for such a reasonable price. They even stored our luggage when we come and go! We are Grateful for finding hostel Mia Leticia and will return at least one more time before March 10th! Great Location in the old...
Read moreAll the staff we met were super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and treats were served throughout the day such as banana bread, brownies, coffee, tea (even coca tea!), water. There's also a bar where guests can help themselves to a beer, soft drink or wine on an honor system and pay the tab at the end of the trip. Accommodation was lovely and rooms nicely decorated and back rooms are quiet.. Beds were very comfortable. Price was very affordable. Location is good, as it's near many amenities in historic part of Quito, however, the intersection where the hotel is located is very busy and hard to get an Uber or Taxi since there's lots of traffic during peak hours. We noticed many people loitering around in the evening since it's next to public transportation and a fountain, so keep your belongings safe and ask one of the staff members to call a cab or search for your Uber with you. They helped my friend and I out when needed....
Read moreI arrived at night with a transfer arranged through the hotel. The door wasn't opened, and I had to wait for 15 minutes. Fortunately, the taxi driver didn’t leave.
The hotel is cozy, with charming old creaky floorboards, lovely plants, and atmospheric lighting. The room is spacious, and there's hot water in the shower. It’s also warm enough in the room.
Breakfast includes juice, coffee, eggs, warm croissants, jams, butter, cheese, and fruit. The best hotel breakfast I’ve had in South America. The staff is friendly. The location is also good, with many bus stops nearby. Great value for money.
The Wi-Fi upstairs is sometimes quite slow, and the walls are very thin — you can clearly hear people talking...
