Als Hotel entäuschend... Hotel disappointing...
Was dringend fehlte sind Nachttisch Lampen.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Although they make every effort and do everything to make the guests' stay as pleasant as possible, this hotel is rather something for young guests. The hotel resembles an old office building. The hallways are bare and noisy. The double doors to the rooms jam. The rooms are large and the painted walls are original. What was badly lacking are bedside lamps. Difficult to find the switch in the dark and had to get up for it. In the four days I was in the hotel, the room was not done once. And so there were no fresh bath towels. Only one thing was really good... The mattress! It was very comfortable. Breakfast is qualitatively rather in the lower range. Although it was included in the price, I gave it up on the second day and went to the Cafeteria next door. We were there for four days and the room was not done once. WiFi in the late evening barely usable so weak it is. 20 seconds until a Whatsapp message was sent. A news page could not be loaded then. At this price you definitely get something better!
Read moreFor $16, I have stayed in some pretty great hostels. This was not one of them. First off, it was hard to find. I walked right by it and only after I asked a stranger, I saw that there was a buzzer to request to unlock the front door with the name of the hostel beside it. ||||No hot water in the men’s showers, we were told to use the women’s showers instead, a small weird communal area, paper think walls, busy traffic with honking all the time and people yelling in the street adds up to a pretty crappy stay. ||||At 7 on a Saturday night I tried to find some good food nearby and was not able to. A food court for the Malecón with the usual Ecuadorian fare (and KFC) but this hostel seems to be in the black hole of restaurants. ||||I had lots of trouble with the wifi but after I reset my network settings it seemed to work better. ||||But the AC was whisper quiet. Which sucked. I wanted it to be loud enough to drown everything out, lol. ||||It’s an inner city hostel with very...
Read moreGood hostel - Nice and clean. |- Hosts very helpful even allowed me to check in 2 hours early. |- Wifi is good and accessible in the room|- Showers are great they’re hot plus in the cubicle they have a changing area. |- Breakfast is good. Fresh fruit with a croissant and omelette. |- Beds are made daily and you are provided with clean towels. |- Air con is good. |There’s a park and fun fair opposite the hostel. Ok coffee at ‘Sweet & Coffee’|There’s not much to do in Guayaquil so if you’re stopping here you only need a few days. ||The only disappointing thing was the noise. I’m not a light sleeper but I even struggled at times. |- The hostel is on the corner of the main road. 3 lane traffic that goes from the early hours until late at night. The locals love to honk their horns, for whatever reason!|- Our room was also right at reception so you hear a lot especially early in the morning. The beds are also very squeaky, mainly the...
