We were at Cecil Hotel Alexandria, Egypt this time for a total of 5 days beginning September 13, 2025 When we arrived the Bellman Karim greeted us at the door . We’ve known Karim from previous visits and were happy to see him . The front desk greeted us and while we were waiting to finish our registration we were offered Apple Juice . We always get the rooms that face the great view of the Also Yasser who always greet us with a big smile took us and our bags to our room . Not to forget Ahmed and the rest of the bellmen all great and helpful. The room is very spacious and absolutely clean. The housekeeping department are always alert and they make sure we have everything we need . The view of the sea is breath taking specially first thing in the morning and during the whole day . Every staff member in this hotel make you feel very important and want to make sure you have everything you need . The restaurant staff are very nice , polite and always there for you . Have to say they make the best Cappuccino and great variety of breakfast selection. Have to mention Mohammed Abdel Satar ( the great chef ) , Mohammed Abdel Atty, Gehad, Amr and all the staff in the breakfast area . Have h to I mention Haneen customer relations personnel who always checked in us to make sure our stay is as we expected . Thank you Cecil hotel for the great service and the beautiful atmosphere . Best location in downtown Alexandria , walking distance to restaurants, cafes and historic areas and museum such Greak and Roman Museum ( walking distance )

I have been regularly frequenting the terrace cafe especially when the weather gets cooler and breezier early in the morning and it was always a pleasant experience to go for breakfast/brunch or coffee service has always been friendly and food and bevarage were always of high quality. Our go-to orders were always the club sandwich and the stuffed croissant with a freshly brewed American coffee. However today on 10/18/2024 as we were trying to place our usual orders the waiter came back saying that the stuffed croissant can only be stuffed with either bacon or cheese his reasoning being that on the menu it says "bacon, cheese" I explained it does not said bacon OR cheese and I always received it this way. He went on to bring our orders the Club sandwich had no eggs even though it clearly said on the menu it would (as per the standard recipe for a club sandwich) the waiter picked up again and brought it back with the sandwich having BOILED eggs that were cut terribly and resulting in the most terrible looking sandwich ever even though they never served it with boiled eggs and when confronted the waiter explained that it was up to the guest to choose (he did not ask the choice of eggs) and that was the sandwich already half eaten (only one part of it) all while speaking in a very rude manner and refusing to return the dish. Both waiters started acting like we did not exist, they did not send a manager or supervisor to apologize or at least listen to our concerns they even refused to pick up the empty plates for the food that was already eaten. Moreover we asked for coffee to be served after the food they completely ignored us and did not ask if we still wanted it or not. The service at Cecile Steigenberger whether in rooms or restaurant was impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was perfect. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive assistance throughout my time there, I felt truly valued as a guest. As for the culinary experience at the hotel, it was outstanding. The variety and quality of food offered exceeded my expectations. Breakfast was deliciously prepared and presented with attention to detail. Also, all staff members at Cecile Steigenberger were incredibly professional and friendly. Their genuine hospitality made me feel right at home. They were always available to assist with any inquiries or requests I had, making my stay all the more enjoyable. Concerning cleanliness of the hotel, it was exemplary. My room was immaculately clean and well-maintained throughout my stay. The common areas were also consistently spotless, reflecting the hotel's commitment to hygiene and sanitation. Last but not least, the concierge service provided by Cecile Steigenberger was top-notch. Above all, the view was spectacular, overlooking the open sea.
