If I could give 0 stars, I would. At lunchtime on Friday, I entered with my mother, brother, and cousins with no problems from the security or the hostess. We informed security and the hostess that my aunt and cousin would be coming soon after us and both security and the hostess told us this would be fine.

When my aunt (who wears niqab) and cousin arrived, they were told by security that they had to have a reservation from the day before. This was a blatant lie because we did not have a reservation when we were sat upstairs. When my aunt informed security that her sister was upstairs, they told her that she needed to go the hotel reception to confirm this “reservation”. My aunt and cousin obliged and went to speak to the hotel’s reception. After some conversation, reception told them they would call the restaurant and confirm this reservation again.

As this was happening, the hostess came to our table and told us that the issue was that the whole restaurant was being reserved. Not only was this ridiculous and senseless since we had been waiting at our table for 15 minutes with additional seats ready for our family and the whole restaurant was empty, but that it was obvious this was a ploy to prevent my niqabi aunt from being a customer at their restaurant.

It is shameful that there is land being used in the Islamic and Arab world that denies space to niqabi women. Do not be a patron to this restaurant. Shame on you,...

Well, let's say I USED TO direct anyone coming to Alexandria to visit this place.. that just ended yesterday! The view is perfect, the place is amazing, the staff is kinda friendly BUT.. FIRST.. I don't have to listen to a lecture about reserving online, specially if the place is like less than 20% occupied for since we arrived till we left.. Second, a minimum charge for what!!. I'm going to a restaurant, so. Simple.. I'm going to exceed the minimum.. and if we're a group and there's one or two don't want to eat, they don't have to pay that amount.. SPECIALLY that the food was horrible! Third and the most important.. the menu was perfect, the plates were WOW. Now.. they have changed the menu to what supposedly looks sophisticated.. but you taste, and I swear to God, the cheapest place in downtown steps from that place serves much much better food.. the seafood soup was so fishy, tiny, and yuck.. the seafood fettuccine was less than ok.. and the other chicken main course was less than fine.. The whole experience for the friend that visits the town was not really ok.. specially after what i told him about this place.. I totally don't recommend anymore...
