Cairo Inn — Hotel in Cairo

The room wasn't bad for the price. Downtown is very noisy, but they offered me a room in the innermost area, so there was quiet. However, services such as hotel pick-up and tours in the hotel are not recommended. Firstly, I traveled to Cairo urgently, so I didn’t search about the information much. Since I arrived late at night, I requested a hotel pickup. Hotel pick-up is $20, but if you take Uber from the hotel to downtown, it cost only $4 to $5, which is close to four times the amount.

I asked a tour as well. The tour is $80. The hotel manager, Joseph did not provide me enough information about the details of tour. Tour includes lunch and guide but entry fee excluded. The guide who is not just a driver, didn't know any information about the pyramids. When I arrived at the pyramid, the driver brought me a tour guide. The tour guide, I guess who is his friend, asked me $350😂 which discounted by $420 considering average Egyptian salary is $65, $350 was a serious rip-off. I denied to take the tour. The guide kept following me to take his tour. That made me wasted 1 hour and pissed me off. After, the driver just dropped me off at Pyramid. I looked around Pyramid by myself. Everyone was with tour guide who gives them information about it and take pictures for them but not for me. I walked to the Panorama site that people usually go by car. He dropping me off some sites as well while I visited there, he took a nap aside. He kept trying to bring me some shops. I questioned about it to him. He kept saying ‘as you like’ that sounds shameless.

I found out later that the price including a tour guide, a driver, lunch and entrance fee was around $75 in Viator(I highly recommend you book any tour in this website. The price is way reasonable.)

It was the worst tour ever I took. Later, I complained it of the hotel. They offered me airport drop which costs only $4😂. I know I was stupid and innocent but I was totally ripped off by the hotel.

Amazing hotel! Great location! I recommend the hotel to everyone who wants to visit Cairo and experience Egyptian hospitality. The location is great, in the city center, with a terrace from which you can watch this bustling city for hours. Since our reservation at another hotel was canceled, we spontaneously decided to ask this hotel for 2 rooms and we were very lucky. As soon as we entered the reception, we were greeted super warmly and immediately felt at home. The rooms were very large and had everything we needed. Everything was very clean, the beds very comfortable. Breakfast was included with the overnight stay, which was served in the morning on the wonderful terrace. The very first morning we expressed a desire for a different breakfast. And we got exactly what we asked for. And on the following mornings we didn't even need to say what we wanted, the breakfast we had requested on the first day was immediately brought to us. The staff was extremely kind and responsive, we felt welcome and taken care of the whole time. We can't wait to have another chance to visit Cairo to stay at this wonderful hotel. I recommend everyone who is planning to visit the city to stay at this hotel. To make their stay unforgettable in combination with the countless attractions and incredible hospitality.
