I have to report an incident that happened with me with Miramar Talaat Harb in Cairo. I called them to confirm my stay with them and they told me that they are fully booked and they forwarded me to another hotel under their management called Miramar downtown. While i was on the way to the new hotel they i called them and they said that they have my booking confirmed after the original booked hotel have transferred my booking to them. When I arrived after 2 hours to the new hotel they kept me waiting for 45 minutes without an answer. And when I insisted to get an answer they said that they don’t have a room and they wanted to transfer me to a third hotel.|I told them that I don’t accept their third suggestion as it’s not suitable nor convenient to me. After I left to find another hotel I received a message stating that there is an issue with my credit card ( this booking should be canceled by the property itself not throwing the mistake on the guests credit cards)|This is the worst hotel experience ever. |And by the way through the reviews of other guests i found that this is a repeated issue. I would advise Booking.com to look into this issue and to take a serious action specially it is a repeated incident.|I mean how on earth would you book something that is confirmed and when you call the hotel they will confirm your booking and when you arrive after 2 hours only they will say we don’t...
Read moreA good choice if you want a city centre location for a couple of nights, I chose it because it was close to Ramsis Railway Station...||||Problem arises because there are no external signs to tell you where it is and also one of the photos of it is not of the correct building but one across the other side of the ''square'', luckily one of the local shop keepers recognised the name and pointed me back across the roundabout which I had just negotiated with 25kgs of luggage playing dare with the Cairo traffic. ||||Even then it was difficult because the entrance is within a rather grotty staircase next to the coffee stall up a flight of 10 steps until you get to the lift...||||Once inside it is fine though, nice clean rooms although the bathrooms are a bit old..||||I recommend that you get a room at the back as it will be less noisy.||||Load of places to eat not far away, and there...
