Museum and Nile View Hotel — Hotel in Cairo

The Museum and Nile View Hotel, situated in downtown Cairo, was a real find! Recently opened, it is housed on the 8th floor of an innocuous office building. However, once at the hotel, it is new, modern and very well maintained property. We stayed there for 8 nights in total. The staff were very very helpful and polite. Omar and Ahmet helped us in food delivery, making some local calls and explaining directions. I would highly recommend this place for comfort and location. Qasr el Nil, a major shopping area is within walking distance of the hotel as is Tahrir Square and the Egyptian Museum. My one suggestion is that the breakfast menu could be changed to offer a better variety. Would not recommend. Rooms are extremely loud at night with the traffic, even with ear plugs in. They said the room we were meant to check in had an issue, so we checked into a lower quality room, next day they said we will move you so we had to pack and leave our bags with them and be out all day, then re-checkin to the new room. We asked if we could just stay in the same room and get a refund for the difference to save the hassle. They said no it wasn’t available, so we did all of the above then they eventually said oops sorry it’s still broken you have to stay in the same room, so we re-checked back into the same room again for seemingly no reason. They ended up providing no compensation for the issues, staff were kind and polite but clearly management...

A beautiful gem hotel downtown Cairo. I booked this hotel on bookings.com. I was pleasantly surprised when I went inside. It is clean, modern and welcoming.. I stayed for one night with breakfast. The service was 10/10. I can't wait to visit again. This hotel is close to the Rameses train station and about 20 mins from the Cairo international airport. Breakfast was delicious, there is nothing negative about this place. Rate per night on bookings.com ranged from £52-£70 per night. Well worth the price.
